Oh Canada!
So we cross the Canadian border and the further we drive the more I begin to realize.... My cell phone doesn't get coverage in Canada. And I just bought a $50 top up card... Go figure.
The concert last night was amazing... I got some glares from fangirls as I bypassed the line and headed into the room when they were sound checking. We got Matt to crack up a couple of times and I got some really good photos of Brian. We were in the front row making all the fangirls jealous of course. During the intro to Save Ginny Weasley from the Basilisk Paul took my Hedwig owl and was waving it to the crowd and whatnot. Some girl approached me afterwards and told me that was the greatest thing ever!
After the rather tiring show (four awesome bands!) I stayed to help pack things up. Poor Emily had a gash on her foot, Joe kept ordering her to sit down. After loading the vans I changed out of my skirt and very uncomfortable shoes and headed to the common where I talked to/met Mark from Marked as his Equal, spoke with Jace (from Catchlove) and his sister, and got my cd from him. I also got to meet Devin from the Owl Post and to whom I promised to fangirl over later. I got to see Jace perform a few songs acoustic which was pretty darn awesome, Christian from Oliver Boyd and the Remembralls performed a song and then Daniel from Hogwarts, A History played a few songs. Might I add they all decided to use Rory's guitar since it sounds so freakin awesome! (Some girl offered her $500 for it!) I got to talk to Tyler for a little bit before he disappeared and a rather drunken Mikey B. started hitting on me...he was wondering why I had changed out of the skirt. I offered to go put it back on and he called me a tease. After a drunken hug from him he dissapeared with some of the other MuggleBoys and I soon found myself sitting outside of the common room with Brian, VoldeBeth and a bunch of awesome people I got to meet.
I stayed out until around 3:30... Brian and Brad went and stole Matt's guitar and the three of them had a little impromptu jam session out in the hall. Brian played Your Little Hoodrat Friend by the Hold Steady for us and I taped it. No, you may not have that video, it's all mine!
So, in review. The drive here, awesome. The concert, awesome. I might have made Mikey B.'s next blickle? Hanging out with Brian and crew...awesome.
