What do all these things have in common? They are parts of things two of my professors have said in class that I found amusing. Yes, thats right kids, this entry is a quote entry
The following are from the brilliant and British, Professor Roe
"Revenge is a wild kind of Justice"
"Fortune is going to hit you with a chamber pot sometimes but there's not much you can do about it?"
"It's much smarter to look religous even if you are not."
"Fortune favors the brave" (an old belief).
"Liberal Arts schools and modern Universities got their money grubbing ideas from Nunneries. Perhaps this is a nunnery!" (About C.O.W.)
Roe looks around the room and stares at the blank chalkboard. "I thought I wrote it on the board but it's not there, now is it?!"
While listening to a student, "Yeah...yeah...right...yeah...no, right, yeah--I think you've got a point there..."
"The best thing about this play is in the end you get to watch him burn." Although not said by Roe, it was said by one of the kids in that class.
"This is like asking you to read my mind, I'm sorry."
By the way, that class should be called the "Revenge of Shakespeare and his Contemporaries."
"He's like the...no, he's not a jewel...it's a stone..." Prof. Schilling
the students pipe up: Keystone? Milestone? Cornerstone? Loadstone? Keystone?
"No, no, no, wait, I thought I heard it..." Schilling
Keystone?
"No" Schiling
Cornerstone?
"No, but that'll work...He's the cornerstone of the...no that's not it either. It's more magical....Like that stone from Harry Potter...?" Schilling
Sorcerer's Stone?
"No, it's really called the Philosopher's Stone" ~me
"Thats it! He's the Philosopher's stone of the liberal party at the time." Schilling
And let's not forget last semester, "No, Jamie, you can't write with a spoon...." When Proff. Riddle was digging through his bag looking for a pen.
And of course there's the always funny Alex P.G.
"She's a whole bag of crazy"
"I will spray lysol in your eye."
In other news, it's effing cold... But, at least in two years time I'll be in Scotland in 32 degree weather...none of this -3 crap (Okay, so it's 10 degrees now, but it was -3 earlier) The weather in Aberdeen is rather nice right now...Rain/snow showers, cloudy...you know, the usual Scottish weather...
At least the day that never ends came to an end(ish)
