Well, a lot of things have happened since Wrockstock... And by a lot of things I mean work. I've been spending plenty of time at Suck Mart to earn my minimum waged paycheck...
The family is all well and healthy, well besides Mum's sinus infection... And in less than a week's time I'll be shipping out to Arkansas to spend a week in Aunt Carrol's pool.
OSAS was a blast. I was a lot more confident this year, and it showed. I was awarded a scholarship for next year.... I was one of three to get the most improved beginners scholarship (or whatever it's called) and I'm feeling more confident about the upcoming football season. Max is gonna shit when he hears how much I've improved!
Wrock Wreggies was announced. I'll be hosting/MCing or whatever you want to call it Saturday August 9th from 10pm to 3am. That'll give me lots of live material for the show. This will basically be my first live podcast. How awesome is that? Now, if only I knew what I was going to do...
It's official, I am a staff member for the HP Alliance. I have an HPA email address and everything. I'm one of the official editors for the HPA podcast, the first episode of which will be coming out (hopefully) July 21st. That's when they want it, but to my knowledge it hasn't been recorded yet. We'll see how this goes. Anyway, I'm really excited about joining the HPA team. I wore my HPA tee shirt at OSAS and was asked several times what it was for... In fact I wore WR shirts the entire week, and it seemed the most popular questions were "What's the HP Alliance?" and "What's a Horcrux?" (in reference to my TRL Make Love not Horcruxes shirt). Yays.
More on the Wizard Rock front... I've been listening to a lot of muggle music lately. I'm still in love with Phantom Planet and dance like crazy when every I get a text (I still freakin love "Dropped"). Also I've been on a big Hush Sound kick lately, and Panic at the Disco's "Northern Downpour" and "When the Day Met the Night" have been running through my head for weeks. What does that have to do with Wizard Rock? Nothing, except they're the reason I haven't listened to it much lately. That doesn't mean I don't like it... I just go through phases. You know that.
Mom got an iPod touch a month ago and last weekend I spent several hours importing most of her cd collection into my iTunes. That brings my music count up to: 32.65 gb of music. Or if we break it down to days and whatnot it's exactly 20 days 12 hours 12 minutes and 8 seconds. And that's including music videos (of which I have 1.21 gb worth)
Perhaps I'll write more later, perhaps not. I have to do something to my hair and throw some decent clothes on (I Can't exactly go to my pipe lessons in a bath towel)... Toodle pip!
