Yesterday, I finally got my greedy little hands on a rental copy of M. Night Shyamalan's The Village and The Forgotten. Both, I thought, were excellent movies. However, The Village is an ingenious film; a superior cast with Joaquin Phoenix, Sigourney Weaver, Adrien Brody, and William Hurt. Written, directed, and produced by Shyamalan, it is evocative and horrific, but if you haven't seen it already, leave your expectations at the door: It's not your typical horror movie. I thought it nothing short of brilliant. Actually I think it should've made more of an impression at the box office than what it did.

And I can't remember if I posted this link back a few months ago: http://www.enterprisemission.com/
