Day 1
Well Hello LJ world, I will attempt to keep a log of my adventures in the country of my forefathers here, so you guys can keep up to date. All pictures will be viewed when I return.
I got on the Plane to get to greece in the early afternoon on Sunday. Completely overwhelmed with emotions. The girl may be on ot something when she was saying that I might be a bit too attached to my family, couldnt stop balling, every time i looked their way, or they gave me advice.
Got on the plane, for what seems like the longest 9 hours in existence. I had these annoying french people sitting in front of me, who back the seat of the chair on the plane back, so that my leg craped the entire flight. didnt really help with the sleeping. Watched the Bounty Hunter, and the new free willy movie on the plane, and replaced Iron Man 2 with Eurotrip on the Ipod, definetly worth it.
Got to Athens in one piece for a 4 hour stopover, btw orange fanta is the worst tasting drink in existence, like orangina without any sugar.
Got on a plane to Chania, crete, where i was to meet my Aunt at the airport, I hadn't seen her in 16 years but she recognized me right out of the gate.
Went to her place, where i will be staying for the amount of time I'm in crete, to get settled it, spoke a bit and at, what i felt was far to much, but what at one point in my life might have been considered a small snack between meals.
When and took a nap, for like 5 hours, while my aunt went back to work, and work up just before my uncle walked in. Spoke to him for a while to my aunt came back, then she prepped some supper. by that time my cousin and his wife and kid showed up to see me and join us. We spoke, I got me a new cell phone for when I am here and then more sleep.
Day 2 so far consists of meeting up with my cousins wife for coffee in the morning, and once he has finished work we will all go together to the beach and relax, and then we will see about the evening.
