Computer Issues. Again. Help?
This is driving me nuts. I dunno what's happened but all of the sudden my anti-virus program, Windows Life One Care, is constantly turning its own automatic update off and telling me to turn it on. I turn it on and a few minutes later it tells me to turn it on again. I dunno what the hell its doing.
Not only that, but I'm getting a ton of random pop up ads out of nowhere just for being on the internet.
All of this crap started when my computer told me to download this microsoft program. Which apparently found problems on my computer and got rid of them. Only catch is, it ended up being a trial program and would only get rid of 25 of the problems. If I wanted it to get rid of more, I had to buy the real thing. So I uninstalled it from my computer, thinking this was the problem. It didn't work.
I've run virus scans, Spybot, Disk Cleanup, and so forth trying to get rid of the problem. The popups are getting more frequent too. I have to wonder if I downloaded something that looked legit but put viruses on my computer instead. One Care today suddenly found a lot of viruses and trojans on my computer and I had it get rid of them but it still hasn't fixed my problem. I don't know what to do.
