"And the lion fell in love with the lamb..."

I saw "Twilight" at midnight with Stephani, Joshie, Heather and Chrissy. Awesome is a word that comes to mind. Munchies at the Tick Tock Diner prior to the movie exposed what major fangirls we all are (with Joshies being the exception.. fanboy!). I was impressed with the movie. Great performances all around. I haven't seen such true-to-novel casting in a while. The movie isn't prefect, but it's so close it might as well be. The chemistry between Kristen and Rob (Bella and Edward) is amazing. You feel every second of awkwardness before they get together, and every bit of excitement and passion afterwards. Jacob is adorable (not to mention oh-so-hot), and you see the beginning of the passionate goofball he turns into. The Nomads (Laurent, Victoria, and James) are totally badass. James is SUCH a freaking piece of hotness. Victoria was great too. She didn't have many lines, and she wasn't even on screen that much, but the actress (Rachelle Lefevre) portrayed her as the calculating, smug, deadly bitch that she is very well. And Laurent has a nifty accent. And he's pretty easy on the eyes too. Surprisingly, I was really enjoying the friendship between Charlie and Billy and wished there was a little more of it. They're funny together. :)

The Cullens were... well, pretty perfect. Carlisle was logical and very much the father figure, Esme was gentle and loving. Rosalie was a beautiful, snobby bitch, Emmet was a goofy teddy bear. Jasper was uncomfortable (from being a new 'vegetarian' vampire), Alice was absolutely adorable (and totally deadly.. see the fight scene at the end, and you'll understand what I mean. Go Alice!). And Edward.. was Edward. He was broody and beautiful, and you loved him and hated him the whole time. Bella was great. Awkward and clumsy, with a quick wit. Every single character delivered. One of the very few fantastic book-to-films.

I really hope they do the whole series.
