So, um, that slump?
Was totally defeated in the face of Can You Hear My Heart.
I don't even know how I got roped into this drama, but I'm so glad I did, because it's WONDERFUL. Funny and romantic and adorable and full of surprises. It's like Bara no nai Hanaya mixed with all the best parts of Cinderella Unni. Like Triple, if Triple actually made sense.
Look at him. Now look at yourself. Now back to him. Sadly, you aren't him. Because you don't have a crooked bowtie of adorableness!
He's a deaf woobie who pretends he can hear; she's the daughter of a deaf mom who JUST SO HAPPENS to be the stepsister of his adopted father's bio son with his fake-dad's sister. Crazy, right? It's like they live in a kdrama or something.
There's also Hot Secondary Guy, who managed to shake my unwavering faith in the canon OTP because he morphed from his child self into that. I was like "OTP! OTP! O........................... oh."
Basically, the shippy options are:
1) Childhood sweethearts uniquely suited for each other in every way
2) Ex-stepsiblings finally reunited after fifteen years apart
3) Slashy pseudo-brothers who sleep in the same bed and rub palms asking "do you love me?"
Decisions, decisions.
