newshfan is back! And she brings more Joker subs!
I MISSED YOU, KUDO!
Previously on Joker, Date and Kudo have teamed up to become merciless vigilantes... with feelings.
I don't know what's most amazing about this scene:
The romantic bridge
The slight breeze ruffling their hair as they exchange looks loaded with meaning
The dialogue stolen straight from an angsty BL film:
"I didn't want to drag anyone else into this. I was fine with just me having these emotions."
"I've already told you that I'm not normal either."
ARE THEY TALKING ABOUT VIGILANTISM, OR THEIR GAY AWAKENING?
"Isn't that strange?"
"What is? Your brain?"
"That's always been that way."
FLIRTING. THAT'S FLIRTING, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN.
"Why am I the schoolgirl?"
I can think of a few reasons why Kudo would want him in costume.
Even ASUKA notices their new bond, and -- bless her -- she doesn't tend to notice things unless they jump up and down and breathe fire.
The OT3 is still my favorite, though. Because the crime lab is their hangout and the kids get together to complain about Date (and have serious conversations about his shoulders) and they all rush into danger for each other and IT'S JUST SO FREAKING CUTE. ♥ ♥ ♥
Asuka on the case!
What I love most about this scene is how she had no idea it was the victim's father. She just registered an attack and started disarming him like a BAMF. It was a badassery she didn't even have to think about.
*slightly hypnotized by the pretty*
MY NEW FAVORITE RELATIONSHIP: KUDO AND BARTENDER. "Brat!" "Old man!"
IT'S INTERESTING HOW THIS ORAL FIXATION ONLY BECOMES SO PROMINENT ONCE KUDO IS HIS PARTNER. JUST SAYING.
DATE LIKES HAVING THINGS IN HIS MOUTH... WE HAPPEN TO SEE KUDO'S LAB STREWN WITH HARD CANDY... I'M SURE IT'S A TOTAL COINCIDENCE.
Younger!Date HAHAHAHA.
Sometimes he cracks me up so much I can't stand it. Just... his faces! His weirdness! Even the way he carries his bag. And he wonders why Kudo wants him to be the schoolgirl.
I love how Date gets all dark and forbidding in his black jackets and black gloves, and yet the only concession Kudo makes for his life of crime is a darker Hawaiian shirt.
You'd think the vigilante scenes would start to get boring after awhile, but EVERY. TIME. they leave me going ohmygodmoreyessss.
Just two kidnappers smiling at a job well done.
Btw, was it just me, or was the case this week actually really disturbing? I don't know, the editing was... unsettling.
SERIOUSLY, THAT'S CREEPY.
