Puritanism: the haunting fear that someone, somewhere may be happy.

MAOU PORN.

When Naruse let go of his throat and smiled, as if admiring a toy, pleased with the state he managed to get Naoto in, all the while calmly undoing Naoto’s pants.

a;dfklsjafklsdjfklasdfjsdklfjdsfk THIS. THIS RIGHT HERE. If anyone is getting the itch to write porn, this should be your guide. Naruse is cold and impersonal and creepy and Naoto is like a wanton street hooker. *_____* THANK YOU, FANDOM. KEEP IT UP.

Episode 3:

WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT? I-- HE-- WHA??

If he's the one who gave Sora-chan the teddy bear, why was Naruse so tense when Shiori questioned her? Is Kuma Otoko being manipulated by Naruse too? Will all the murders connect? Will KO take out Souda? Why do they have a connection if he doesn't? And why does Souda keep running into Megane and Ho? Before this reveal I was sure that Megane would be the one to kill Souda-- can't let the affair get out, of course, and Naruse would play on that like a piano. So what's with the connection to Sora-chan??

I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE THIS IS GOING! IT'S SO GOOD!

*SHIVERS WITH DELICIOUS*

I have no idea how to feel about this. On one hand, my initial reaction was "What's that feeling, Naoto? Pain? Loss? You mean... how Naruse felt when you killed his brother and got away with it?"

But of course two wrongs don't make a right, and I'm sure the drama's intention is to show how revenge is a double-edged sword etc, and only after everyone's been through eleven episodes of unimaginable suffering at each other's hands will they realize the mistakes they've made.

I knew he wasn't going after Shiori (since in Mawang they're the OTP) and I find myself... not entirely opposed to the ship. "Naruse-san!!!!!! Coffee? Would you like coffee? It's good coffee! Naruse-san! Coffee!! Withme! :D :D :D :D" SO CUTE.

Ep 3: the makeout scenes now have slightly parted lips. Maybe by the finale they'll progress to tongue!

RAIN SCENE!

My favorite part is how he threw the teddy bear in the backseat, then closed the door again just to stand in the rain. Crying in the car is for pussies.

#1...

Was I the only one who thought baptism? Shiori the queen and mother, Naoto looking at her like he was saved...

"To have one's life taken away, right when it is just beginning... that is truly unfortunate."
"Yeah."

He wasn't talking about Yousuke, sweetie.

LMAO. How pimp is that dad, seriously? "Here, take this wad of cash I keep in my front pocket at all times."

"Please calm down. Can you say that you know everything about Ishimoto-san? Everyone has a hidden side to them, don't you think?" sdlkfjkladsfdklsfjdksfj!! This is porn come to life, right here: Naoto completely out of control and Naruse taunting him with the truth and double meanings.

"Toma-kun! Not on set!"

"Come on! I can fit an entire coke bottle in there!"

"Nino can take me and Matsujun at the same time."

"... wait, seriously?"

It's really starting to creep me out how I can stop on any given cap and Ohno's eyes are still empty. Look at them. There's nothing behind them.

And then you get to this scene and you can see the honest emotion stirring in them:

With every episode I have to re-adjust my ideas about Naruse. For an emotionless lawyer, he sure does feel a lot of emotions: torment, regret, loss, satisfaction at well-executed revenge... love. I've seen people quick to label him evil and be done with it, but I can't agree. He isn't a sociopath. This is all about love: if he hadn't loved his mother and brother, it wouldn't hurt, and if he didn't still love them, he wouldn't be so keen on punishing everyone he blames for their deaths.

It helps that all his victims so far haven't been these innocent lambs. Lawyer dude pardoned the murderer of his brother (and was that him trying to give the family blood money "monetary compensation?"). Yousuke was an unrepentant loan shark who threatened violence against women and children. And I've yet to really connect with Naoto-- he's supposed to the good cop, but he turns a blind eye to his friend's crimes and we still don't know why he smilingly pulled a knife on Hideo.

People who have watched Mawang told me Naruse gets worse, so my opinion may very well change. But at the moment? I do believe the drama is setting him up to be a sympathetic character, and that's why we get all the tragic flashbacks and Naruse crying as he listens to music boxes, and that's why everyone around the "good guy" is actually pretty skeevy. We're supposed to be on Naruse's side. It's working for me.

(And I do find it interesting that... Naruse's hands are far from clean, but they're not entirely dirty either. He manipulates the desperation of strangers so they'll do his dirty work, but he doesn't put the weapons in their hands. He just delivers them. Where does personal responsibility come in? He didn't make the lady stick a gun in her purse. He didn't make the first guy pick up the knife. What's more, he became their lawyer afterwards, and got one of them off.

Not that I'm trying to excuse him in any way. I don't want to seem like I'm justifying Naruse's actions, he's still a murderer. But I think it's really interesting the drama has given him both cause and distance, unlike Naoto, who senselessly killed Hideo with a much more intimate stabbing.)

I-I... it.... wow, Toma. I'd been told he had a sex with a tree, but I didn't think they meant it. That was suspiciously heavy breathing for a breakdown.

#2! I fucking love Maou's lights.

This is definitely giving Mawang's style a run for its money. *__*

And #3!!! Toma spends more time on his knees than Kame asking Johnny for another single.

*GLEE* And it all starts coming together. I knew Naruse hadn't casually dropped in Shiori's library for a book on fucking architecture.

My only question is: why don't these people remember? You'd think you wouldn't forget stumbling on a dead body. (That's not even counting Naoto, who had to live through a crime scene reenactment for his own sin to resurface. Manslaughter? Whoops, slipped my mind!)

evil is delicious, maou destroys your soul... stylishly, i love rain with attractive men in it, i love rain
