Atsuhime casting news has already spread like wildfire, but when a drama has Miyazaki Aoi, Tamaki Hiroshi, Eita, Endo Yuuya, and Horikita Maki and Matsuda Shota as a married couple then I'll just be over here hyperventilating in the corner oh my god. I love how most kdrama is too long for my attention span, but next year I'm planning for a 150-ep asadora and a taiga drama that runs the entire year.

This period drama is set in the Yoshiwara red-light district of Edo. Chizuru Azuma, Megumi Yokoyama, Emi Kobayashi, and Hisako Manda play four women of various occupations. Due to their pride in the district, they take it upon themselves to punish any men who mistreat the area's prostitutes.
