Haven't posted much as work's been incredibly busy... we're in a tight development schedule....
Still dating L.
Now J's not talking to me -- well, he is, just not calling me, since he knows I'm dating L.... Honestly, I don't know what he was thinking: I've been single for 4 years, while he's been see-sawing over whether to break up with his current boyfriend or not, becoming a meth addict, and basically looking for sex anywhere else but either his boyfriend or me.... So I really don't know what he thought I was going to do. Wait while he made up his mind whether he wanted to work things out with his boyfriend and reform his drug habit?!?!
Got C working with me on BEX Leathers... He still isn't talking to me on anything more than a professional level. That's fine, I guess. But he still says he doesn't think we'll be friends again, which isn't so nice. What did I do to deserve this beyond try to be his friend? I didn't ask for him to fall in love, and I certainly didn't ask that he become bitter when I couldn't return it.
I do believe my portfolio may be up 25% this year... which would give me a 10-year rate of return of 100%. Warren Buffett can kiss my ass. Recent changes: MEL merged with BK (Bank of New York, not Burger King); DIS spun off ABC Broadcasting in a reverse merger with CIT; APPL continues to skyrocket. New: UXG. Gone: ENN (they're getting bought out by a private equity firm, I had a total return of 50% from that one).
Heading to Baraboo Bears in WI next weekend with L. We're taking the dog, which will be interesting.
I bought an Olympus E-Volt 510 -- Which I'm very excited about.
Also been beefing up my stamp collection.... I recently went through a small box that my grandma had set aside for me... Years ago, I started a stamp collection. When I reached college, and moved to Chicago, though, I didn't keep it up -- mostly 'cause I couldn't really afford to collect... I discovered that my grandma had set aside a good portion of new issues every year between 1984 and 1992 for me.... 1992 or thereabouts being when my grandpa died, and she started her downhill slide into senile dementia. So it's understandable that she stopped collecting around then.... Anyway, I discovered that I have a much more robust collection than I thought, which is a nice surprise.
