What form will your character's NV take?
Evangeline's NV will take on the form of a magical "journal," with her name (written in Latin form: EVANGELINA ATHANASIA ECATERINA MACDOVELL) written on the inside cover. Text will show up as writing in the journal pages. Audio will be audible when the page with the character speaking is turned to, with writing being transcribed in a facsimile of the character's handwriting (based on the voice: disguised voices will have disguised handwriting.) Video will appear on the page as moving, speaking pictures, albeit they might have a sort of "drawing" look to them (as if run through one of the artistic filters in Photoshop.) Holograms will appear as a magic circle that plays the hologram when touched. All filters, video, or holographic posts from Evangeline's end will require some sort of magic symbol or magic circle put onto the page. Audio will be picked up automatically, and her writing will appear as text to other NVs.
Abilities
Character's Canon Abilities: Evangeline is extremely powerful. It... really can't be stressed enough how powerful of a character she is. Her skill is unmatched, her power is legendary, and any one of her abilities could lend to her being one of the strongest in her world... but she has a billion of them.
MUNDANE
These abilities are considered "mundane" skills... in other words, they're abilities that have absolutely no requirements as far as magic, supernatural ability, vampirism, chi, or what have you. This is what she can do as a completely normal human.
First of all, Evangeline is an incredibly skilled martial artist. She studied with the creator of aikido, and spent the better part of a century practicing and perfecting her skills. With aikido, she can defeat experienced martial artists, even those with ridiculous skill and access to chi/ki, using nothing but the strength of her ten-year-old body. It's pure skill, no abnormal strength or speed or ki usage. Although she's far weaker and more slow than most people when she's without her powers, her skill genuinely makes up for it.
Second, Evangeline is a master puppeteer. Although her more unusual abilities related to this are considered magical, on the more mundane side she is an expert at setting up traps with wires, or using wires to fight, maneuvering them in such a way as to tangle, tie, or trip an opponent. If she knew she was going into a situation without powers, she could replace normal wires with the razor variety for a bit more, ah, lethality.
Evangeline also has a number of mundane, non-battle related skills that she is a master of: things such as go, tea ceremony, and the like. Nobody cares about those.
VAMPIRIC ABILITIES
Evangeline was turned into a vampire when she was young. Over the years, she's come to master her vampirism, learning new uses for it and getting rid of the usual weaknesses. While she started off weak to sunlight, etc., at this point she bears literally none of those weaknesses. Except garlic. (And leeks.)
A step by step guide to Evangeline's vampiric abilities:
REGENERATION
Evangeline can recover from any wound. This recovery is almost instantaneous. In canon, she's been run through the torso with a barrier-breaking stone spear, and had lightning take off an arm and a good portion of her side, and each time she recovered over the course of a panel or two. Her recovery can other occur in the form of splitting her body into shadows or bats and reforming whole, or simply a cascade of magical energy that reforms her missing body parts or heals injuries.
She says that no mortal sword or bullet can harm her. However, it's also said that recovering takes up some portion of her magical powers. As a mage of almost-unrivaled caliber, she has more than enough magic to spare, but it does mean that it's theoretically possible to kill her by forcing her to use all of her magical reserves and then dealing a mortal blow. (Further canon may prove or disprove this, though.)
FEEDING
Evangeline, as her vampiric nature would suggest, can drink the blood of others. However, at this point she has no need to drink blood to survive. She has stated that she's gone centuries without meeting anybody, and therefore not feeding. Rather, drinking the blood of mages, or those of magical nature, will allow her to replenish her own supply of magical power. If her powers are sealed or dormant, drinking a mage's blood will allow her to slowly regain her abilities.
It used to be that her vampiric nature would force her to drink the blood of others; a sort of bloodlust, a hunger that consumed her. When she was first turned into a vampire, she ended up slaughtering most of the castle she lived in. She has no such bloodlust any more, gone along with her typical vampire weaknesses, though she does still enjoy the taste. But she is in full control.
HYPNOTISM
After she feeds on a person's blood, she can take full control of them with a hypnotism that cannot be fought. The person or people fall under her command, doing whatever it is she bids. She can choose when to control or not to control them. However, this control can be broken, and when it is, the connection between master and servant is lost.
It's only shown that she can do this after drinking a significant amount of the person's blood, and it's also possible that mages are immune to this effect. I'll be playing it as if both are true.
FLIGHT
Most mages, witches, and wizards can only fly with the aid of an object, usually a staff or a broom. Evangeline is shown to possess the unique ability to fly without the aid of any object, so this is likely a power granted by her vampiric ability rather than magic.
It lets her fly. That's pretty much it.
IMMORTAL BODY
On top of regenerating from almost anything, being a vampire comes with other advantages. Notably, Evangeline is immune to poisons, sickness, disease, etc. This is notable for her because, without her vampiric abilities, she is extremely prone to allergies, sickness, fevers, and any other malady you could name.
ILLUSIONS
Evangeline has control over powerful illusions. These illusions are likely a mix of both magical ability and vampiric ability. It should be noted that her illusions are extremely good. A weaker doppelganger of Evangeline is able to cast a glamour over a large group that is good enough to fool the best illusion-detecting spells and technology of a magical empire. She's also been shown to pull people in an illusionary world, one which she completely controls, simply by locking eyes with them.
TELEPORTATION
She's been shown to be able to use shadows as a means of teleportation. Though there is a limit to distance, that limit is measures in kilometers. She could not teleport directly to her student Negi in Kyoto, for example, but could after several minutes of flying in his direction, which was still a long distance away.
MAGIC
Most of Evangeline's abilities come from her magic. (Yeah, I know, that vampire stuff was just a warm-up.) As a mage, Evangeline's abilities are top-notch. She is literally among the best of the best, and her power and skill are both beyond the realm most could ever hope to match.
A few things to note: most mages require a wand, a staff, a ring, or some other form of focus in order to cast spells, but Evangeline is so good that she, well, doesn't. On top of that, she shows a high-level of mastery with skills beyond her primary focus: in her case, she specializes in ice and darkness-based spells, but is shown using high-level lightning spells as well, something noted by others to be extraordinary.
ENHANCEMENT
Evangeline, like most mages in her world, uses magic to fuel her body, giving her enhanced strength, speed, and stamina. And, being the powerful mage she is, Evangeline can pump this up to extreme levels. She can easily toss around train cars, punch hard enough to cause explosions of debris, and is fast enough to dodge attacks at literal lightning speed.
SHUNDOU
On top of this incredible enhancement, Evangeline also knows shundou, which is the ability to move almost instantly. Basically Negima's version of the flash step. Most people can only do it in one direction, once, but Evangeline can change directions, use it in midair... whatever.
MAGICAL SENSES
A combination of magical ability and vampiric ability: Evangeline has incredibly enhanced senses, including a sixth sense. She can sense when an animal enters the city she's staying in. In addition, she can pinpoint locations from a great distance if she knows who she's looking for. In canon, she pinpoints her student, who's in Kyoto, while she's heading in his direction from Mahora (near Tokyo.)
PRIMARY OFFENSIVE MAGIC
Evangeline, as mentioned, specializes in ice and darkness spells for her offensive capabilities. She's got enough raw power and advanced enough spells to do things like shooting off hundreds of ice or darkness arrows, or
creating 150-meter wide fields of absolute zero. (They mention that, since it breaks the laws of thermodynamics, it takes more magical power to pull off than other elemental spells of similar properties.) It can be presumed that she knows and can use just about every spell in her specialty area. In addition, she has been shown to
create incredibly powerful spells of her own.
EXECUTIONER'S SWORD
I feel this deserves its own mention, since she uses this spell often. It's an incantationless spell that creates a blade from her hand... the blade cuts anything, except magic or ki. It doesn't actually cut though, it converts substances from solid matter to a gas. Yes, pretty haxx, but on the plus side, it can only be used by a powerful mage... Like Evangeline.
SECONDARY OFFENSIVE MAGIC
Evangeline is... also shown to be proficient in other elements. As mentioned, this is fairly rare among mages in her world: they tend to stick to their specialty only, but Evangeline teaches Negi, her student, some advanced lightning attacks that normally even an awesome mage wouldn't be able to do if lightning wasn't their specialty. It can be assumed that she can use other elements, like fire and wind, as well. She's just that good.
UTILITY MAGIC
Magic isn't just limited to fighting. Evangeline is shown, or is implied to have, the ability to do things such as viewing dreams, reading minds, control bodies, create alternate dimensions, move objects, create water, create transportation circles, make powerful barriers, and more. I'll list a few of her more notable abilities as well.
BARRIER
She has a full vampiric and magical barrier up at... pretty much all times. Most attacks are simply stopped when they hit the barrier. It can be compromised with a strong enough attack, but... it does need to be a strong attack. Or one that specifically destroys barriers.
MAGIA EREBIA
Oh god, Magia Erebia. This is basically... the ability to take a spell (usually a very, very destructive one), absorb it, and convert it into raw power. This is a spell that Evangeline created herself for her weaker days, in order to gain the strength to fend off the witch hunts. And it works well for her since she's a vampire: if a normal human used this, then it would strain their spirit and mentality to the point of breaking, which is what classifies this ability as "dark magic." Not only does the user absorb the spell and convert it to power, though, but they also absorb some aspects of the spell: lightning spells can convert the user's body into lightning, etc. In addition, when using Magia Erebia, the user can store spells in their arms, leading to even more uses. So, to sum it up, convert spell to dope up hardcore, get nifty extra effects, dark magic.
SCRYING
Using a crystal ball or another surface as a medium, Evangeline can view events happening in other places. This is a pretty typical ability for spellcasters, but deserves its own mention because, hey, viewing shit like that is pretty cool.
DOLL MASTER
Evangeline can control up to 300 puppets over a 3 km radius using her magic. Keep in mind that... her version of puppets are killing machines, wielding swords and knives and, in some cases, more advanced weaponry. So this is kind of haxx. Oh, she can also give dolls actual life. They need her magic to move around, but even without it, they still maintain the ability to speak (and in most cases snark.)
Conditional: If your character has no superhuman canon abilities, what dormant ability will you give them? N/A. Very N/A.

Character History:
Evangeline's Wikia Page;
Basic Rundown Wikia.
Point in Canon:Chapter 335, just after the apparent defeat of the big bad and the recreation of the Magical World. At this point in canon, Evangeline has just crossed over into the Magical World, defeated the entire enemy party with a single original spell, been paralyzed by the big bad, and then watch Asuna cut the big bad in half. And it was apparently actually Nagi, the guy she was in love with. What's up with that? Anyway, she'll basically be coming in directly after the big battle, and after Asuna uses the Grand Master Key to restore the Magic World. Save the world, get pulled.
Conditional: Brief summary of previous RP history:
It's hard to summarize over two and a half years in
paradisa, but here goes.
When she first arrived, Evangeline kept mostly to herself when left to her own devices. Besides occasionally taunting the heroes of the castle (something which never, to her chagrin, never panned out,) she stayed in her room, or ventured forth to do mundane activities. It was only during changes to the castle that she began to experience things which were truly different for her. During a foray into Jurassic Park, she was tormented by a T-Rex, bonded with the others similarly tormented, most notable Asano Rin, and grew an intense hatred for dinosaurs. (She later killed that T-Rex.) During a time when forced to live with a roommate, she bonded with her neighbor, a priest named Abel Nightroad. Afterwards, when the castle became a wild west town, she bonded with the others on her farm, most notably Chie Satonaka, Agent York, and Ken Ichimonji.
Many other events came and went, but for Evangeline, the most notable thing was how she interacted with those she had formed bonds with. After being trained by Nagi Springfield, a friend (and love interest) from home, she took on Chie as her own student once Nagi left. She trained Rin on the side as well, forming a very sisterly bond with her. Abel and she formed a bond not unlike old men who would joke around with each other. Events at Paradisa came and went, but those weren't nearly as important for her.
She fought together with Chie to take down alien parasites, taught the girl martial arts and magic, and gave her advice on love, even helping console Chie after a breakup. With Abel, they talked about their horrible pasts, she helped him fight off his crazy brother, they fought together against villains like Riful and Arthas, and they even got turned into monsters together. She, Ken, and York took expeditions out beyond the power of the castle, bonded in hot springs, and learned the reason why people should not stand on the hood of an ATV while in motion. In short, all of her greatest memories were of being with her friends.
What really affected her, though, were those times where she encountered loss. Rin came to her with her troubles, and Evangeline had to act as a mentor while unable to do anything more. Ken and Chie were both killed during a mass murder spree, while Evangeline was helpless thanks to the castle. Later, Chie was sacrificed in a ritual. Her bonds with other kept growing, but then she experienced loss associated with it. Eventually, Chie left the castle altogether, being sent home. Abel met the same fate as well. As her friends left, eventually so did she.
Character Personality:
On the surface, Evangeline can seem like a quiet and antisocial young girl. This is a complete façade, one that Evangeline cultivated when she was cursed to remain in a school setting for 15 years. In order to "fit in," she basically refused to associate with her classmates on any real level, leading people to think of her as antisocial, as one who never speaks. In fact, at times when she does choose to speak, her classmates are surprised. Around those she knows, those who know that she's a mage and vampire, she acts quite different. In terms of Mayfield, she would likely adopt this sort of persona for school, once forced to attend, but otherwise she'd show her true personality.
What is this true personality, you ask? A good question, and one that requires several very lengthy paragraphs to explain. Grab a soda and a snack, this could take a while.
Evangeline is, despite what her appearance suggests, a through-and-through villain. She takes pride in her status as a villain, and won't hesitate to spout off how evil she is, how much evil she's done, why people should hate her, and possibly speckling all of this with mentions of her evil titles (see above for a truncated list of such nicknames.) Even her casual comments can come off sounding quite evil. She's amused by the fact that her name can inspire fear, and in the Magical World, her name is often told as an equivalent to the Boogeyman's.
At the tender young age of 10, Evangeline was turned into a vampire by an evil villain as a magical experiment of sorts. She went crazy with bloodlust and ended up slaughtering the people of the castle she lived in. She ran away, but couldn't escape the fate of a vampire. She was hunted, chased down, and even burned at the stake once. She was forced to grow powerful to fend off the vampire hunters, forced to kill in order to survive herself. It jaded her to the world, and being forced to kill cemented her own sins in her mind. She took on the role of a villain because it's what the world had decided for her, and because she thought of herself as one for being forced to kill others.
Despite that, all she really wanted was to be left alone. She rarely bothered those who didn't seek her out, and was content to cut off contact with all people. She didn't fit in anywhere in the world, or even in the Magical World, so she didn't see the point in contact if it was only to be the target of a witch hunt.
With that all explained, it should be noted that a good portion of Evangeline's evil talk, spouting on how much she hates the world and her villainy is amazingly evil, is hot air. At one point, perhaps she was just as evil as she claimed. But during the last part of her life, people have begun to accept her, some have even been foolish enough to try and save her, or call her a friend. And so while she still claims to be evil, she'll do so while helping people out behind the scenes, training heroes, defending her friends... Her evil words don't match her actions. She's even gone as far as to develop spells specifically to go and save the people she cares about. She'll quickly deny she's doing anything good, or for any purpose other than her own, but that's exactly what she's doing.
The years also warped her personality beyond simply claiming she's evil. Despite her (mostly) good intentions, Evangeline does have a genuine cruel streak. She's known to show mercy to those who show it to her, but she's pitiless to those who deserve it. She ruthlessly teases others, often to the point of being the world's most powerful bully. It's not true villainy, but that is a genuine part of her personality. She enjoys pulling people off their high horses, dirtying the good and the just with mud, and scaring small children.
Evangeline is also shown to be extremely irritable. Although she tries to seem calm, collected, and composed, she's very easily angered, especially if you know the right buttons to push. Generally, these buttons involve her height, her age, her lack of evil, her age, or her middle name. If somebody somehow combined all of those into one insult, they would probably be dead. She even tried to seriously kill an ally because he called her a "loli grandma." Despite being a bully, she doesn't take well to being teased at all. She falls for jokes and pranks, gets worked up over silly insults.... yeah.
Being a vampire, Evangeline doesn't age. While this is a sore point for her in terms that she is eternally ten, it also provides her with almost six hundred years of experience. Although others consider her a "young" monster because of her apparent age, she considers herself old, especially when dealing with normal people, where the differences in experience and attitudes really ingrain it into her that she is so much older. At times, she can dispense wisdom, enjoy tea, and act like... an old person. It's an interesting dichotomy.
Also, because she is so old, and has seen so much, she often becomes bored. Giant festivals are no fun after fifteen years straight of them, and even things like having adventures in a magical world full of dragons isn't any fun anymore. She complains loudly and often on her boredom, though nothing really cures it. She seems to enjoy the complaining, though.
All in all, Evangeline is a precocious girl who is also a bit of a bully and an on-again-off-again villain. She's much better to have on your side than against you, though, so people should really try to get on her good side.
Conditional: Personality development in previous game:
All in all, despite her long stay at
paradisa, Evangeline hasn't changed that much. She was already making friends and helping them out back home, so doing that in the RP isn't a change to anything. She's been forced to admit that people are her friends, but that's still not something she does regularly, or lightly, and she denies it afterwards. Her general tsundere attitude towards friendship hasn't changed at all.
The most major way she's changed is in how worried she gets over her friends: it's true that in canon, she saves Negi on more than one occasion, even developing spells and saving the world just to help him out, but in Paradisa, she's seen friends die because she wasn't there to help them. Although she has confidence in her friends, when she thinks they can handle the situation, she also worries when they're in an unknown situation or if there's no way for her to help them if they get into trouble. She's much more likely to step in on their behalf or if asked than she is in canon.
Also, she's grown to have an incredible hatred for dinosaurs thanks to a traumatic experience with a T-Rex attacking her when powerless.
Although she's had a wide variety of experiences in Paradisa, and it may have given her a chance to do or see things she normally hasn't, she's still a very old, experienced person, and beyond the few things mentioned, she hasn't let Paradisa change her. After all, despite being there two and a half years, it's still two and a half years out of over six hundred.
Character Plans: Mainly, I'm looking for the interesting CR she can get in a place like Siren's Pull. Evangeline is a character who can do well both in day and in night, and I'm expecting the people she meets to pull her into schemes, plots, battles, or just out to hang out. In other words, she's adaptable so she can get cool CR with other players regardless of what parts of the game they prefer. B)
Appearance/PB:
This is a pretty good picture. Just keep in mind that she's also ten physically, and she's like 4'3". So she's tiny.

[ It's near the end of the month. To normal people, that meant it was the most dreaded part of the month - time to pay all of the bills. To a certain blond vampire, this was a completely foreign concept.
She flips open her journal, the form her NV had taken, and an irritated "tsk" is the first thing transcribed. She falls back onto her bed, holding the journal open above her, mulling over her issues in her head for a few moments. Eventually, she rolls over onto her stomach, laying the journal down on the bed, then draws out a magic circle with her fingers, allowing the journal to pick up her face as she talks. To others, it would appear as a video.
This place was annoying. Infinitely so. And why did it choose to saddle her with another ridiculous magic journal when so many others could use cell phones or laptops? So unfair.
She was obviously agitated, easily observed by her facial expression. ]
People here have no sense of self-preservation. [ What exactly does that mean? Allow her to explain. ] The world's most dangerous villain arrives, is given a run-down and decrepit apartment... and then the landlord has the gall to demand rent or he'll kick her out?
[ She scoffs. ] What is this? Is that supposed to be some sort of joke? My name strikes fear into the hearts of people everywhere, I had the highest bounty in the world, and somebody actually has the nerve to demand money from me? He's lucky I didn't kill him on the spot.
[ Although she seems rather serious, she doesn't seem that threatening. In fact, her expression has already turned to an idle, half-lidded look. She kicks her feet up behind her. ] I once owned several castles spread out all over the world. He's lucky I would even deign to live in a place like this. [ She lets out a small sigh. ] And besides, I have absolutely no money.
[ Welp, that seems to be the real problem here, now doesn't it? ]
Third Person Sample
The sky was just beginning to tinge orange as Evangeline finally got around to trying her coffee. It was a venti caramel macchiato. The name was stupid. It wasn't an actual macchiato, and "venti" was a horrible name for a cup size. But at least it tasted better than it sounded.
Most little girls wouldn't drink espresso beverages willingly, but Evangeline was far older than she looked, and the people selling the drink hadn't bothered to question it. Which was just as well. She could be very pushy if need be. Or if want be. And she did not take well to being treated like a child, even in a small and inconsequential way.
She took another sip of the coffee. It really was good. She would have to come back again.
It was at that moment the first siren blared. A loud, clear tone coming from multiple directions - a siren sat atop every building of any moderate height - it would be deafening to enhanced senses. And while Evangeline's senses were better than normal, she had also grown accustom to them.
There was a cling of the bell to the establishment shortly afterwards, then the click of a key in a lock. Evangeline turned her head to see the one who had served her, hardly more than a boy himself, locking up the shop. She was seated outside at one of the café's outdoor tables, and the boy cast her a worried look.
"Miss, you should be heading home. The Darkness is coming soon." He looked nervous: it was only ten minutes until it began, after all. Well, it had been ten when the siren went off, it was closer to nine now.
Evangeline calmly took another sip of her coffee. "I'm not worried."
He didn't seem to take that answer. "Do you live nearby? I could..." He seemed to ponder it for a minute, and Evangeline could tell he wanted to escort her to her place. But then he wouldn't have enough time to get home himself.
She rolled her eyes. "I'm not some babe still attached to her mother's apron strings." She smiled. It was a dangerous smile, one that no little girl should be able to make. "You'll find there are some things you should fear more than a little darkness."
The boy was obviously weighing her words before simply deciding that he couldn't be bothered dealing with this girl. The Darkness would be approaching soon, and even if he lived nearby, he would need a few minutes to make it home safely. He tried finding the words to excuse himself, but Evangeline beat him to it.
"Remember that, all right? Some evil lurks even in the day." She finished off her drink with one chug, slammed it down onto the table... and faded into shadow.
The look on the boy's face was priceless.
