Doctor Who - The Lodger

Fun and reasonably uncomplicated, I really did enjoy this episode. It was played mostly for laughs and there were good ones generated.

Craig to me was written believably and James Corden played him just like that. No stupid slapstick and there were moments where I really did feel bad for Craig.

But I saw the mutual attraction between him and Sophie coming a mile and I knew that the episode would end with them as a couple so nothing shocking there.

I've discussed in previous posts about how much the camera loves Karen Gillan but it also loves Matt Smith either naked, showering or in football gear - a lot. Matt Smith really can play football, can't he?

I don't remember if we actually got a name for the creature of the episosde but I did like the concept behind it and it's spaceship in general.

Amy also had more to do in this episode than I thought she would've done. I liked that she found the engagement ring and that we saw the cracks twice in this episode - Craig's place and the TARDIS, 8/10.
