I know! I totally agree. But this one was really sad. It's going to be so sad to see him leave. The christmas one is goning to be very dark and sad.

It seemed to me (and I may be wrong) that the Flood was only a plot device.

The real bad guy in Waters of Mars was the Doctor.

That's a very scary thing indeed.

The Flood were pretty underdeveloped so I don't think you were wrong there.

The Doctor can be scary. This episode really drove that point home perfectly.

I hated seeing the Doctor taking the route where he felt it was his place to decide who lived and who died.

Haven't seen Waters yet, but just wanted to point out that the comment above sounds, to me, like something of a return to the Old Doctor. Let's face it, the Doctor in Old Who was always deciding who got to live and who had to die. He was an old hat at genocide or, at the very least, bloodbaths, and he wasn't always all that torn up about it; often times, he was positively righteous about it. Davies let this show with Nine, but he shied away from it with Ten with his show-us-a-little-so-someone-can-come-and-humanize-him schtick. (News flash: He's not human.) In a perverse way, I think that, when I get a chance to see Waters, I'll finally be able to say "At last! Davies didn't fuck the whole thing all to hell. I can finally see some continuity here instead of his putzing around to sex up the show." That I should have had to wait until the very last (or next to last or whatever it is) show of Ten's reign saddens me.
