Seven Things

And here is the first official cast shot picture of Jenna-Louise Coleman as the new companion standing in front of the TARDIS. Anyone else think her cardigan is a little reminiscent of Arthur Darvill's pheasant top? Probably just me then but it's a lovely shot and hopefully we'll get one of her and Matt Smith soon enough. I wish I was going to that convention today and tomorrow. By the way, some major spoilers for Series 7 have been released in relation to the opening episode. I'll discuss them in a later blog. Oh and don't forget that Jenna is in Titanic, Sundays 9pm on ITV1 for the next four weeks, starting tomorrow.

Meanwhile, keeping up with the memes (I am getting a little on the addicted end of the scale of those), I'm trying another one, courtesy of the lovely

1: Doctor Who: What I can say that I haven't? I didn't grow up with the Classic Series and have gotten into the show through the New Series but I have seen enough of both to be an informed, objective fanboy. Best. Show. Ever.

2: History: I got a A in it when I was in Leaving Cert. I did love it in school, though towards the end of the school year, there was more of an emphasis on Irish history/World War stuff than it being an eclectic mix. Still, an A is an A.

3: Music: I love it. Always listening to it. Cheesy pop, rock, r'n'b, soul, indie, some dance music, some classical, I'll give just about every genre a chance. I also tend to notice it (or the lack of it) in most of what I watch as well.

4: Books: I'm the world's worst reader in the sense it takes me ages to finish a book because I get so easily distracted. Fave book would probably be To Kill A Mockingbird.

5: Angels In America: I own both the DVD and the play versions of it. It's a good production. HBO certainly did it justice back in 2003.

6: The Sarah Jane Adventures: I've thought about it long and hard and ultimately, it was a better spin-off than Torchwood. I still can't believe that Elisabeth Sladen is no longer with us.

7: Tomatoes: I love that I was asked about this. Totally random but cool. Erm, that being said, I'm not much of a fan of this particular vegetable/fruit. Tend to prefer Broccoli by comparison.

Meanwhile the finale is tomorrow but damn it, I am loving Being Human. Series 4 isn't a showing making do with massive cast losses - it's a show that's been thriving, so a massive thank you to the likes of Lenora Crichlow, Damien Molony, Michael Socha, Kate Bracken, Andrew Gower, Gina Bramhill and now Mark Gatiss (as well as creator Toby Whithouse) and the brilliant staff for such a brilliant series. I hope to hell this gets renewed for a fifth series because it certainly deserves one. Oh and the Confessions Tumblr for this show has become more addictive than the Doctor Who one over the last month as well.

Oh and I've been tweeting a ridiculous amount as well. I'm beginning to forget when I used to use Twitter sparingly. No, seriously, it's becoming a distant memory now.
