The Mystery Of Edwin Drood

Written by Charles Dickens And Gwyneth Hughes
Directed by Diarmuid Lawrence

Okay, this was bloodt fantastic from start to finish. Making it a two hour long episode format worked wonders for the pacing, storytelling and performances and the ending actually felt right given the context of the story.

Matthew Rhys was bloody phenomenel as John Jasper and I really want him to another villainous character of a Master-ly persuasion in some other show I watched.

I can't really fault anything here - I liked the performances (maybe not the Cockney urchin), found the characters interesting, thought it was gorgeously shot.

Basically, if you haven't seen it, do, you won't regret it. 9//10.
