Well, I'm 34.
This was a very quiet birthday. The highlight was dinner with Tammy at Pronto in Tel Aviv, which was quite good. I had a pasta with truffles and other mushrooms. Some nice people called and emailed and wished me a happy birthday.
Of course, the quiet portion of the birthday does not mean the end of the birthday celebrations. Friday is party time, with lots of people expected to arrive.
Frankly, too many people are expected to arrive. I don't mean to say I hope some of them bail, because I don't. I do mean to say that if I didn't invite you, it's not because you're not a cool person or because I don't like you. You're probably a great person and I probably like you very much. But this is not a very large apartment, and we have no back (or front) yard here on the third floor. So I couldn't invite some people I wanted to invite. Sorry about that.
I've started getting gifts already, which is cool. I'm happy about what I've gotten so far. Also, I got a phone call yesterday which may end up as the biggest gift of all. Not something I can talk about yet, but stay tuned. In a few weeks, I may have more on this.
