Having you there and reading all this from your pov really is the next best thing to being there myself. I am glad you arrived without getting lost or encountering any other mishaps.

I am pleased and relieved on hearing how well the daemons are being brought to "life" and rather disappointed about a poor portrayal of Mrs.Coulter. She really is one of the most frightening and horrible characters ever.

What an interesting choice to have the actor as Iorek holding his head. How did you feel about that?

I am also thrilled as it sounds like you got a great seat!

I'm going to start Lyra's Oxford tonight and finish tomorrow...so it coincides with your trip. I know...I'm strange.

*smile* You're really there!

I was pleasantly surprised at how easily I managed to navigate the way from St Pancras where the train terminated to Waterloo underground station. A fitting testament to my advance planning and ability to follow signs designed for morons like me to avoid getting lost. Result ( ... )

I just finished reading your review(s) of the play(s). I haven't read these books, but now I want to - can you tell me their names (in the order to read them) and the author's name?

I loved the pictures taken from the ferris wheel thingy. That looks like it would be a lot of fun to go on. :-) I don't mind heights, as long as I'm not teetering on the edge of something. People invariably try to push me off. *g*

I bought Wonderfalls today! *does a very tired happy dance*

Yay!!! You have Wonderfalls. Hope that you enjoy it. I've had the episodes on DVD for sometime but have only seen the unaired pilot episode so far. Must catch up someday.

Okay the three books in the His Dark Materials trilogy, in order, are:-

The Golden Compass (this is actually known as The Northern Lights in the UK but the name was changed for some reason for the US market)

The Subtle Knife (It's not until this book that Will Parry is introduced)

The Amber Spyglass - this book concludes the trilogy.

There is also a short story called Lyra's Oxford, which is set a few years after the events in "Amber Spyglass" and serves as a taster for things to come...assuming that Phillip Pullman is writing another book featuring Lyra.

*catching up on neglected comments....*

Thank you (and thefaeriegirl) for the book info! As soon as I feel like I have time to read again (and by this I mean new books that require concentration - I'm always reading something *g*), I'll check to see if my library has these. :)

We've been spinning our Wonderfalls viewing out like junkies with a dwindling stash. Plus - severe lack of time issues, but I'm hoping those will be resolved soon.

I've been missing you. Update?
