Dear Diary
I have been thinking of things as we enter the holiday season. A lot of people are lonely this time of year. Not everyone has a beautiful loving family to go home to. Not everyone has friends that keep in touch with them both near and far. Not everyone gets along with their relatives. For some people this is it. The internet is their friends and family. This is how they get out and meet people and make friends. I always felt this was a time of year for people to come together and not fall apart from each other. I think that people should make that extra effort to reach out to others, to know that others are lonely, to let people know that someone is there for them , and that someone does care. Even if a person upsets you during the year, just a kind word is all it takes to reach out to someone and let them know you care. A comment, a word, a phrase, that is all it takes to let someone else know that you are thinking of them. A great sadness this time of year can be overwhelming for some people. It’s good to remember that and be kind to each other this time of year.

Two day before Christmas. I have all my shopping done and most of my packages wrapped. I just picked up the adorable tea set for Ashley and I didn’t wrap it because she saw me buy it. It’s nice made out of tin, not one of those cheap plastic ones, and not a glass one that would break easy . She might be a bit of a tomboy with her love of cars and dinosaurs, but she also loves her pretty dresses and tea parties.
I have been working on altering some pants, I don’t like the legs baggy, I like skinny jeans. I took in a pair of bugle boys one of my favourite pairs, except I always hated the legs on them , I also took in some camo pants. Army issued, someone gave them to me, but I wanted them tighter around the legs and calves. I had to cut them so I kept all the pockets, what I did with both was take them in along the inseam, this way I didn’t mess up the outer stitching or pockets. I knew I would lose that inner double seam, I’d rather lose the inner seam then the outer seam. They look great I am happy with them, I’ll take in some more later today.
I also made a shirt, but I want to make an adjustment on it. I was thinking last night I wanted to fix something about it, I am going to do that. Mother calls it my ‘Rambo Shirt’ she says it looks like something ‘Rambo’ would wear. What? So, I asked Brandon, he said that he could see the ‘Rambo’ part. I just looked up pictures of ‘Rambo’ (I never saw this movie.) I still don’t see it. :/
We are having leftovers today, too many of them, but I really want to make this great chicken dish that Alex ashmedai put up. I love stealing all of you guys recipes and trying them out. There are so many yummy dishes that we can all share with each other. I am going to make the chicken tomorrow, it seems like a wonderful meal to have just before my Mother makes her Christmas ham.
