So...how come people are stumbling around like Boris Karloff today?  And by the way, that film was a classic and James Whale was probably one of the best directors of his time.  Anyone who can get Colin Clive to pull that kind of performance without freezing up and forgetting his lines is a genius.

Well the movies he's most famous for are the ones where he plays Frankenstein. This monster who's been created from a bunch of dead people and given life by this mad scientist.

It's a book adaptation, really.
