But he didn't have to worry, really. I mean, not that I'm not grateful that he stopped me, but it isn't like I haven't done that kind of thing before. Usually charged more than bread though.

Well friends do tend to worry when they see their friends in trouble. Whether you have done this sort of thing in the past or not is irrelevant since yesterday you were suffering a curse.

I do not know how legally binding it is considering we are in the City but since there was a ceremony I'd say it was real enough. Although I do wish they had not done that on a curse day. Things of that nature really ought to be done properly.
