Thank you, and I do, it's a true saying, hmm, the full saying is,
"I can not force someone to love me, but I can make myself into someone who can be loved. The rest is up to them." and that's true.
I don't expect to receive something back for doing a good thing, that's a stressful way of thinking, if you do something good, it should be because you want to and are a good person.
If I give love and comfort to someone, or a friend, it's because I choose to, not because I want something in return, and besides, it should give you the satisfaction of being able to help someone, it's a choice to help someone, or listen to someone, but you don't always have to take it, I'm not saying never take it, but lets say your friend calls you 10:00 PM at night while your doing your homework or something of more importents, if he just wanted to talk about how his teacher sucks and how he hates school, you don't have to choose to help him with those problems, you have your own math problems that are due tomorrow, he can wait or talk to someone else, his mom for example.
either way, there's nothing wrong with that, just because there is a problem doesn't mean that YOU have to fix it, there are other people in this world with greater problems that other people can fix. you're the master of what you choose to do, not another person, and you're not the one that always has to save the day. you have your own life, your own dramas, and your own choices.
