General Updateyness
So yea, I thought I'd update because I'm in a REALLY REALLY GOOD mood lately and I wanted to share it with the WORLD.
...most of whom are on my MSN and probably already know, but whatever!
So, let's see...it's less than a week (FIVE DAYS) 'till Amecon, I am ridiculously excited, even more than I usually am for a con.
It's been around a month since I last saw all my Bristol folk, and nearly all of them are going to be at Ame so this is going to be one of the most EPIC cons I've been to EVER, seriously it's going to be SO MUCH FUN. Not to mention, obviously, there's a bunch of people I haven't seen since Expo/Minami/Fuyu/Last freakin' Ame that I simply must catch up with.
On top of that there's the general con-ness, and we all know I LOVE cons with a firey passion, liek woah.
Cosplays are coming along, Duke's pretty much finished I just need to redo his dice earring, finish his sign (I watch too much YGO Abridged so I'm making a warning sign like I did last year) and get some trousers for him - I don't know whether to bother hunting around for some blue trousers for the next five days (Did I mention it was only five days to go? FIVE) or just say screw it and wear jeans - let's face it, the boy doesn't exactly stick to the uniform!
Zaphkiel's essentially finished apart from the cross earring. I mourn the loss of my cross earring. See, about ..uh..four years ago, Nammy and I were on our Angel Sanctuary kick and we found something wonderful.. a pair of earrings almost just like all the angels wear, only they all wear one each, so of course...we bought the pair and had an earring each from it!
And now I finally find myself cosplaying one of those very angels and.... I'm fairly sure the bag with it in got accidentally thrown out when neomogrox tidied my room for me. *mourn* I loved that earring XD
Suzaku I haven't actually started yet, but I have his wig and all the fabric I need, everything's in place and I have the wonderfully helpful instructions akutenshi_chii mailed to me, pattern pieces and an easy to follow guide that mean I can get it all done next week, while I'm babysitting.
My SUPA-SEKRIT (LOL yea right) Ball cosplay is getting finished today, it will! The wig still needs a little styling but I might end up doing that at some point during the weekend, the top's finished apart from a few small alterations to make it more fitted, and I also have to trim it and attach the clasp for the collar, the skirt I'm about to get started on, it's pretty straightforward so *shouldn't* take me too long...
There's something else, of course, that's going to make this con extra special (Did you think I'd forgotten, elzilcho? XD), because on the Thursday night I am going....lazerquesting.

Kidding. Well, not, because I am going lazerquesting in the afternoon as part of the pre-con meet, and I'm also going pubbing for it in the evening (or possibly just hanging around Opal Court doing last minute stuffs and molesting everybody having fun), but that's not the point.
The point is I have a date *spaz*, Dan (elzilcho) and I did our shy little 'I like you's just under a week ago (last Sunday evening, to be precise) and arranged to go get something to eat together on Thursday. Ever since then we've been nauseatingly adorable at each other online, and generally incredibly lame XD It's awesome, I can't wait for Thursday!
Uh, and finally in other news, tomorrow I'm going to my brother's house for the rest of the week until it's time for ame, because they've gone away and I'm being paid to babysit the brat (his fiance's ten-year-old), so I'm gonna work on Suzu while I'm there, will have to use their POS computer while I'm there but I will be online (I'd take my mum's laptop but I don't want to leave her with my computer ^^;;) So yea!
