Follow the keyblade!
Ok so, this weekend was absolutely AWESOME.
Like, completely made of WIN AND JOY AND FABULOUS.
A few glitches with stuff, like the fact it took us FOREVER to get to expo, but meh whatever!
Anyway, I got a whole bunch of pictures, because I did a Day In My Life on Saturday, so that's pretty well documented.
I'm posting them here because I can't fit all the pics I have onto ADIML with the size limit XD
This post has the advantage of several things:
1) More cosplayers
2) More yaoi XD
3) The odd not-quite-decent picture of semi-nekkid soc members
Just a note, if you've read the ADIML post, the duplicate pictures have the same text accompanying them because I can't be bothered to think of new or interesting things to say about them. Obviously the 'new' pics have 'new' text.
Sunday I've just got cosplay pics and stuff.

G'morning. Eugh, two hours sleep because I was up really late finishing off everything I needed to do. I'ts 7.30 in the morning and I am very very tired.
(Sorry about the dark) I get dressed REALLY quickly because I haven't got a lot of time (we forefitted time to dress for further snoozing. I regret nothing XD)
Check my to-do list and make sure I've got everything. I make a lot of lists when I go on trips like these, it's not so much because I'm super organised, more like because I'm super not.
My Roxas wig gets wrapped up VERY CAREFULLY. It's got a lot of spikes styled into it. Luckily they're styled with Garnier manga hair gel - something that is rubbish for real hair but absolutely BRILLIANT for wigs. My Roxas spikes are sharp enough to hurt, lol (And didn't budge the entire weekend!)
So it's time to set off! my friend Mike (zaros) carries my keyblade (Made in a rush in the last two days, I am SO PROUD of the bloody thing) for me because I am burdened with many bags. Ok, two.
Onwards! To Expo!

To the bus stop! Yey buses! I think bus travel features in every single ADIML I've done so far, hurrah.
Here comes the bus! I'm prepared for some weird looks, getting on the bus with a large key.
The keyblade points the way... We get into town and have to head to the coach station to meet everyone. I've had a bit of a chance to wake up now and the excitement's starting to hit, YEY.
Hi guys! A bunch of very sleep anime soc members. I tell you what, organising 18 people on a coach to London, 20 people at a hotel and 16 people back (yea the numbers are weird, people are awkward) is a downright pain! Especially on a weekend when all the buses are full up of football fans, nightmare! Things didn't go exactly to plan but I think they turned out ok.
Because I like to make lists!! Everybody's here OK, we can get going, YEY!
But not before my boyfriend and I have a keyblade fight! (You may remember Andy from my fourth ADIML, where he was just a friend XD)
On the bus, the president (who is sat with a group near the front) and I (sat with a group at the back) organise who everybody is sharing with at the hotel, using the fabulous medium of DS pictochat. It degenerates into crude drawings and memes around us, but we get everything sorted!
People sleep, listen to music, all that sort of thing, it's all terribly exciting.
Say hello, dbzhobbit! Ki-chan makes a paper fan because the air-con on the coach is not working and it's REALLY FRIKKIN HOT.
I start to keep track of good quotes from the weekend.
I fail, because after this I forget to write any down! (and lost the notebook involved anyway)
Weee the bus has arrived! Off we go down the aisle, praying our keyblades (which had to be put in the hold) are still intact.
They are! Follow the keyblade everybody!
We find that they're actually pretty handy for leading 18 people through London.
We stand around in the underground...
... a lot. (I'm pretty sure this isn't the same station as the last picture though!)
Train... Not sure what Si's so confused about, but Mike seems pretty cheery.
Another train... We're all getting a bit fed up of travelling now. It's about ...hmm, just shy of 2pm at this point.
We finally make it to the hotel! YEY! Trying to get everybody to stay out the way while we check in is fun.
We went to the room they gave us only to find somebody's stuff already in it. We have to go get another room, and we just want to get to expo! Ki-chan is not impressed.
Haha, Andy getting changed into Sora, with long-suffering amusement that I simply must take the picture while he's shirtless.
All dressed up and ready to go, going, in fact. Andy as Sora and Ki-chan as a Heartless, without her hood/mask on, and carrying a struggle bat (made by Andy in case I didn't get my keyblade finished in time, but we thought it'd be fun for the heartless to have it. On the Sunday we gave it to a Hayner cosplayer, who was very pleased ^^)
Oh god not more trains....but alas, thus is the way of London. We couldn't get a closer hotel because I didn't get it booked in time (because people kept changing their damn minds about coming! XD And also because I fail, and exams, and stuff)
Hal, flailing a struggle bat, because...he ...can? I'm not really sure!
WE MADE IT! FINALLY! We were ecstatic to finally be there, seriously it was such a relief to suddenly walk into a crowd of people that WON'T give you dirty looks for carrying a keyblade. SO VERY GLAD TO BE HERE.
One of the first people I spot is a Karen cosplayer, and totally spazz out because I LOVE Code Geass and was really hoping to see some cosplayers.
I get glomped by an Axel, which I really don't mind because I'm a yaoi fangirl too, and I 'ship AkuRoku!
We find a couple cosplaying Rikku and the Doctor. I get a picture of the two of them because I think the idea of that as a pairing is hilarious! Rikku would make a great companion!
SO I HERD U LIEK MUDKIPS!?
There were actually two mudkip cosplayers, I was very impressed.
Dark Magician Girl!
I'm kind of a fan of YuGiOh (Well, more the manga and the abridged series) so I like to see YGO cosplays.
The main (?) character from "The World Ends With You" - I can't remember said character's name, but he looked cool and I want to play this game SO BADLY.
Really good AC Cloud cosplayer. Everybody cosplays AC Cloud these days! Bring back the old Cloud! Hehe, really though I do love the AC Cloud costume
ZERO!
Another Code Geass cosplay. My favourite character, actually, and the mask was amazing, it lit up!! Seriously brilliant.
This is my friend Chibi in her Rabi En Rose cosplay, she managed to finish this up in about a day, I think it's so awesome!
HARD GAY!
Seriously this guy is awesome for doing this, well done this man! He had the thrusting down really well too, but apparently it was starting to hurt his hips!
Yet more Geass cosplayers! Another Lelouch (Zero) and a CC, the only CC there it seemed as well.
I was so happy to see so many of these guys!

I'm really amused that I was with a Marluxia cosplayer at the time.

And here is said Marluxia cosplayer. She gave me a flower, I still have it even though it's a little battered from being wrapped round my keyblade all weekend.
Yey! Found my friend Plushie. I was really happy to see so many of my friends here, there's a few people (not Plushie, because he doesn't live far from here) I only see at events like this, so it's really nice to run into them.
A Mello and Matt, yey yaoi! And also, this Mello was really good, she had a chocolate bar and she'd done the scarring as well, it looked awesome!
Just before we leave the convention hall we find another group of Organisation XIII cosplayers, including another me! (Roxas) So we have to get a picture, of course!
We don't head back yet though, after all we came for expo, we may as well stick around for the people! It's a nice warm day so we all make ourselves comfy on the grass.
Just before we came outside, we ran into Kitten-chan from deviantArt.
It was pretty hilarious, Ki-chan poked me and told me who she was (I wasn't paying attention at the time) and I just went "OH MY GOD!", I totally hadn't expected to actually run into her.
She's really lovely! She came outside with us and hung around with us until we went home, she asked me to draw her a picture, so I did (even though I'm a terrible artist). She drew me one in return.
Hers was much MUCH better.
Somebody had pom poms, I lead a little cheer. Cheerleader Roxas!
Apologies for the stomach, the top I got was a little short but it was a last minute thing so I had to make do, it was a pain!
One of Kitten-chan's friends, and a new friend of ours! Lorraine, she was awesome. I'm not sure who's hat and wig they are but they got passed around a fair bit!
Andy is..uh...riding the keyblade like a broom.
Don't ask because I'm not even sure I know.
I spot my friend Puppy in her Shuichi and run over for a glomp to say hello, even though I've already seen her today. I can get away with it, she was in a different cosplay then! XD

Down the escalator into a train station once more...
I became very familiar with some of these train stations over the weekend.
We all say a very dramatic goodbye to Kitten-chan, Lorraine and co as they head off on their train.
Ki-chan is very squished on the train back to the hotel, we all are XD
Sora heading through a ticket barrier, not actually one of the weirdest things I've seen.
We're off to see the wizard back to the hotel to dump our stuff, and the many purchases that...everybody else made, because I am broke.
And to change out of cosplay, I amuse myself by leaving my wig on, but switching to my KH 'Just a Nobody' T-shirt, because Roxas is.
In the lift, *hums muzack* to go grab the others for a supply trip.
I'm not actually sure what happened here, one minute Andy was stood next to me, the next Mike had glomped him to the bed, and Chibi piled on top.
But this sort of thing happens in our group, so you just learn to shrug and...join in!
Once we've piled off, we head to Tescos to pick up bits and pieces - alcomalol for tonight and food to tide me over until I'm home.
It's party time! We all pile into one room for fun, games, Eurovision and food.
Om nom nom, I have chicken and fresh bread, it was pretty tasty but I kind of wish I'd not bothered and gone with some of the other guys over to KFC instead!
Almost everybody else gets pizza. It was brilliant, they delivered it right to the room! (I don't like pizza so I didn't join in)
After the pizza we settle down to play childish teenage games.
It starts out strip poker, then it's strip, truth or dare poker for those who don't want to strip, then it's strip, truth or dare spin the bottle because texas hold 'em without betting rounds is a needlessly complicated way of finding out who's turn it is. (This later degenerates into just nominating the next person because the bottle kept landing on the same people, and then we took out the dares because we could never think of any, and then the strip option went because everybody was so hot they were stripping anyway)
Ki-chan is particularly amused by a question as play goes on. Things are still quite tame at this point, though the truths get more risqué as the game goes on, of course.
Andy gets good head!
It was actually worse than in the photo, there was foam everywhere. Teach him to open a can somebody's just thrown at him XD
Before we remove the dare option, there's the obligatory snog-so-and-so dare for Mart and Mike.
Mwah ha ha ha, and Mart & Andy. It's actually Mart being dared both times, but our guy friends are all ok with stuff like this, and there's no jealousy from the girlfriends involved, since, well, we're the ones holding the camera!
By this point pretty much everyone's shirtless because it's so damn boiling in the room. Mike is amused. He gave some very interesting answers to a lot of the questions we asked.
We all go back to our rooms to get a bit of fresh air and get changed into PJs. Some people take this as an opportunity to hit the hay
We originally intended to go back and finish the game, but we all sorta sit around and chill out, and then end up spending ages chatting about movies, with the lights turned off so we could open the window without fearing midges.

Mmm, nice inviting bed, and a half-asleep Andy who came to bed a little bit earlier, we're all a bit shattered at this point, though it's only about 1.30am, we've had a long, busy day with very little sleep!

Well, we had to start off the day by getting devil-eye photos of me and Ki-chan because we're Honey and Kyouya from Ouran High School Host Club (and they hate being woken up!)
At some point I will get round to photoshopping these photos with the devilish glints from the anime, but Ki-chan's came out evil enough with red eye...
...and as someone who actually DOES hate being woken up (especially early), and had technically just been woken up, I had the sleepy glare down pretty well.
I kinda like my narrowed eyes in this picture, grr!

There was a weeping angel statue and it was creepy! She was doing really well not moving when people were looking (obviously not all the time because she'd never be able to move), there was one of the angels from the Christmas episode there too.
The stone angel was pretty creepy....until I walked past her later on while she was eating a sandwich, I didn't want to interrupt her lunch to ask for a picture but that would've been a great one.
Yazoo, Leon and Kadaj! I love that Leon's in the middle there with a completely uncharacteristic grin, it amuses me.

Another couple, and another pairing I think is totally awesome in its randomness...but that would actually work, considering the characters!

Of course it's going to be Honey, L might have a superior intellect but nobody can kick arse quite like our little 'spartan captain'!

XD This is another one begging for a fic. (The Roxas/Zexion picture is another thing I'm ficcing, btw)

It starts out strip poker, then it's strip, truth or dare poker for those who don't want to strip, then it's strip, truth or dare spin the bottle because texas hold 'em without betting rounds is a needlessly complicated way of finding out who's turn it is. (This later degenerates into just nominating the next person because the bottle kept landing on the same people, and then we took out the dares because we could never think of any, and then the strip option went because everybody was so hot they were stripping anyway)
Ki-chan is particularly amused by a question as play goes on. Things are still quite tame at this point, though the truths get more risqué as the game goes on, of course.

It was actually worse than in the photo, there was foam everywhere. Teach him to open a can somebody's just thrown at him XD
Before we remove the dare option, there's the obligatory snog-so-and-so dare for Mart and Mike.
Mwah ha ha ha, and Mart & Andy. It's actually Mart being dared both times, but our guy friends are all ok with stuff like this, and there's no jealousy from the girlfriends involved, since, well, we're the ones holding the camera!
By this point pretty much everyone's shirtless because it's so damn boiling in the room. Mike is amused. He gave some very interesting answers to a lot of the questions we asked.
We all go back to our rooms to get a bit of fresh air and get changed into PJs. Some people take this as an opportunity to hit the hay
We originally intended to go back and finish the game, but we all sorta sit around and chill out, and then end up spending ages chatting about movies, with the lights turned off so we could open the window without fearing midges.

Mmm, nice inviting bed, and a half-asleep Andy who came to bed a little bit earlier, we're all a bit shattered at this point, though it's only about 1.30am, we've had a long, busy day with very little sleep!

Well, we had to start off the day by getting devil-eye photos of me and Ki-chan because we're Honey and Kyouya from Ouran High School Host Club (and they hate being woken up!)
At some point I will get round to photoshopping these photos with the devilish glints from the anime, but Ki-chan's came out evil enough with red eye...
...and as someone who actually DOES hate being woken up (especially early), and had technically just been woken up, I had the sleepy glare down pretty well.
I kinda like my narrowed eyes in this picture, grr!

There was a weeping angel statue and it was creepy! She was doing really well not moving when people were looking (obviously not all the time because she'd never be able to move), there was one of the angels from the Christmas episode there too.
The stone angel was pretty creepy....until I walked past her later on while she was eating a sandwich, I didn't want to interrupt her lunch to ask for a picture but that would've been a great one.
Yazoo, Leon and Kadaj! I love that Leon's in the middle there with a completely uncharacteristic grin, it amuses me.

Another couple, and another pairing I think is totally awesome in its randomness...but that would actually work, considering the characters!

And of course, since there was just me, Ki-chan and Hal knocking about, I had to get some KyouyaxMori crack in there too, since it's got to be one pairing where Kyouya would actually be uke - Mori is nothing but seme in our opinion, and maybe Kyouya just needs someone who can take control for a while! XD This is another one begging for a fic. (The Roxas/Zexion picture is another thing I'm ficcing, btw)
So yea! That's my weekend!
