So, our last day of house hunting today, and boy was Rachael saving the best 'till last!!
The house we are now SO having is down the road from St Matts - that's the campus we have drama on.
It. Is. Freaking. AMAZING.
So we were walking down the street towards it and I spot this house on the corner with a tower (or rather, what looks to be one from the outside), or maybe turret is the best description.
Anyway, I'm saying to Rachael that OMG I would love it if that was our house...and what do you know? IT IS!
So it's right opposite a pub, which is fun, and close to a bus stop, a bakery, an off licence and a homeware shop - some useful things to have.
So anyway, we go into the house, at this point we're not sure if it includes the tower, but our questions are answered as soon as we get in ('cos of what we can see from the layout, we know.. *squeal*)
So, you go in and there's a sort of hallway bit and a flight of stairs, we go up the stairs, already loving the blue walls, they're so pretty.
So when you get to the top of the first flight of stairs, to the left there's a couple more steps to a corridor, along which is the kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen's quite small, but it's sort of homey and cute, and there are only four of us, so it'll be cool, the bathroom's pretty spacious and nice ^_^
Going back to the top of the first flight of stairs, running parallel to them is another small flight going up (we're already amazed by the coolness)
On this level is the living room - which is gorgeous, spacious and lovely, with a small dining area and a three piece suite, and a beautiful fireplace, and two of the bedrooms.
One of them, the corner is in the stem of the tower, and the window is there, so if you look out the window it's like you're in the tower, not just the corner of your room. This is the one Becky wanted, and as I liked two different ones, she's gonna get it.
Across the hall from there is another huge bedroom (they're all double rooms, massive and gorgeous), this one's gonna be Coco's.
So, another small parallel staircase (this time running the same way as the first - get the zigzag going on here?) goes up to the top level where there are a further two bedrooms. Both of them quite lovely attic rooms, this time going to me and Rachael (I get the one in the top of the tower, weee)
The whole house is weirdly, but fabulously, set out, and we just LOVE it.
We have broadband, which we can share amongst ourselves using wireless, and phoneline, we'll probably get the deal they have in there at the moment, £28 a month for broadband and phone, with free evening and weekend calls.
We can put up pictures and things (as long as we leave the hooks and not holes in the walls), and we can paint as long as it's neutral when we leave.
The rent is £250 a month, which we CAN pay quarterly when we get our loans, thank gods, it's less than we pay now but it doesn't include bills, though those are easy enough to sort out.
Oh the wonderfullness of this house!!
*squeal* I can barely wait to move in!
