I'm retarded. Vicious virus/spyware that I could not unroot finally did it. System became so overrun I couldn't even use nero to burn backup CD's. Managed to get a DVD and a half of music out but most documents and helpful apps accuired along the way are all dead. *sigh* now to try and see if the ghosting was a success and maybe recover some of it

All that's left to try is to scare the damn virus out! I'm thinking: injection of demerol, cauterization, cold bath, electroschock therapy... anything to kill the virus! Or present such a threat to its existance that it runs scared and finds another place to live (prolly lying dormant until it strikes again!).
... Just puttin it out there.
