Okay so I'm going to Gainesville and auditions are in a few weeks. I've tried calling the actual school for my questions but so far everyone seems unreachable and busy. SO. First question-
My paper says- "These auditions wil include dance (dress for movement) and a prepared song (30. secs.)" And you call to make appointments. If it includes dance, should I have a prepared dance? Or if they are doing a small routine or something will I be by myself? Or will it be groups?
*Dress for movement, but I want to look professional at an audition. Would bringing a change of clothes be wrong? Should I try and wear like a leotard under my clothes and bring a skirt or something?
*And about the song, should I cut it myself and have it only be 30 secs, even though I don't know how to do that, and does it have to be without words? Or am I supposed to bring music? How do I find that? Can I download songs or will they hate me?
*Next... The Jungle Book... Says "will involve readings from the script and creative movement (dress to move)" So THAT pretty much means move like a monkey right? Am I going to have to move around by myself like an animal? Groups? And again with the change of clothes thing...
Also should I bring anything? I just want to be prepared...
I'm just really scared and nervous but I want to get ontop of this ahead of time, I'm already pretty late. Please help. :/
