I suppose it is the natural result of all my voyeuristic tendencies. When it comes to fiction, I find only very well-written pieces are particularly arousing. For recounted experiences, however, my "threshold" is somewhat lower.

I think that, weirdly, my masturbation tends to be a bit less tied to what is going on and more a part of my regular routine or my own currents. Also, my thoughts in the moment seem much more flighty than others. I can't read or watch something and get myself off at the same time, alas - I have to wait and do it later. One area where multi-tasking quite fails me!

I understand what you mean, I think, when you say that masturbation falls in to a regular routine. I usually find that my body tells me that it is time for pleasure, much the same way it tells me that it is time for food or sleep.

When it comes to fantasy material for masturbation, I find stories awfully effective for starting me down the road, but I usually can't keep my mind on them for too long. My best (strictly solo) orgasms always come from my own unaided fantasies, though.

And I've always thought multi-tasking wasn't all that it was cracked up to be. Much better to devote yourself to the moment. ; )
