Haha well I had to save face somehow. Cara was so ridiculously out of character (and probably Rahl for that matter too, but I wanted him to be slowly getting ...nicer... at least as much as he can lol) that I had to save her somehow. Than again, in that situation I think she's allowed to show some pain; she thought she was completely alone. I'm happy you liked it!

awww...I like it. Two formerly hardened hearts having to deal with their feelings.

I'm one of the few people though who think Rahl didn't kill their child. I think he was just telling her that to break her emotionally. Like when Denna lied to Richard and told him she had killed Zed. I was betting if we got a 3rd season there would have been a Cara/Rahl story arc with their child.

I actually agree with that statement. I don't think Rahl killed the boy; I honestly think he's probably protecting the boy for now by letting her think that. If people think his heir is out there, the child is a target.

oh good! I'm glad it's not just me thinking that way. I mentioned it on another board and they accused me of trying to make Rahl too human due to my Darken fangirlness lol

But Rahl is human. There is a heart, no matter how blackened, beating beneath that breast. He's not known for his kindness of course, but I think when it came to his own child (for the show, not the book) there would be a difference. Why on earth would he let Cara carry his child for nine months when surely there were bettering things for a Mord'Sith to be doing. He loved Nicolas off the bat when he was with Kahlan in the alternate future, why wouldn't he love a child carried by someone he cared for, for longer?
