Time to rev up
Well here I am, 2 days before the big 3-0. It's more than a little scary. I found one of my old journals and to my surprise , it contained I had a list I wrote when I was 10 of things I wanted to accomplish before I got old (aka 30).
1. Marry a wonderful , caring, considerate and devastatingly handsome man.
Okay did that :).
2. Start a family. I want to be young enough to enjoy it when my kids are young.
Check. I have 2 beautiful boys and will hopefully have many more.
3. Own a big house with lots of property for my horses and other animals.
Well not quite there yet. BUt at least I have the lots of animals covered.
4. Be published.
That I managed to do this last year. Granted it was a paper in a scholarly symposium proceddings and not my novel, but it's a start.
5. Be rich.
LOL not even close by adult standards but I suppose to a 10 year old I might seem that way.
6. Be happy.
Most days I am.
7. Have a recording contract.
Not happened, nor is likely to though I still write songs and play whenever I get the chance.
8. Go skydiving.
Uhmm no. I have gotten past the need to risk death for a no-so-cheap thrill.
9. Travel the world.
Well I went on a student exchange to Thailand, Singapore and Maylasia when in high school though there is still much more of the world I would like to see.
10. Own a leather jacket.
Ah the simplicity of childhood.
Guess I haven't done to badly afterall.
