I realized that I've been posting lately, but I have given no actual update. So, while I am on hold, I'll do that.
Work has been going really well. I'm getting the hang of the job and I think I've proven myself to be a competent employee. My boss goes out of town a lot and for the most part I can handle everything while he's gone. This morning was a little different. All the sales reps who did updates this weekend lost all of their customer histories which sucks because that's how they do their billing. I'm on hold with tech support right now. Woo.
I'm hoping to go back to school this fall, but we'll see how the timing and money works out. Night classes might be a little difficult earlier in the week. Who knows, maybe instead of going to Normandale like I planned I can get a school loan and take a once-a-week class at the U. At least then I wouldn't have to worry about transferring credits. It just depends on when the class starts and what day its on.
My friend Mark from Duluth was in town both two weekends ago and this last one. Its so cool to see him so often. His girlfriend is so sweet; honestly, she's perfect for him. A great singer too - she's awesome at Rockband. I'll be going up to Duluth next weekend so I can visit Justin, Jamie and everyone else. Its really changed up there in the past couple years. Some people are completely different than they were two years ago; like someone came and replaced their personalities. Some people seem to have grown up; others seem to have regressed.
My social life has actually been on an up turn. I'm back in belly dancing on Monday nights because I can afford it again (yay!) Tuesdays I'm playing D&D with my roommate and a couple of friends. Thursdays are j-horror night with epics like "Girl's Rebel School Swim Team." Fridays are whatever happens. Saturdays have (at least for the last few weeks) ended up being playing Gears of War or watching Battlestar Galactica with one of my friends from high school. Most of the time we end up drinking so much I just end up spending the night.Last time, this past Saturday, I drank a little too much. My fault completely; I normally don't let people mix my drinks for me but apparently I had to try this whiskey/coke/marachino cherry drink. Yeah, there were like three or four shots in there that I couldn't tast because it was so sweet. I drank it in under twenty minutes and spent the next half an hour sick. Might have also been the McDonalds. Hey, you didn't have a good night drinking if you don't wake up with something to regret the next day, right? RIGHT?! >.> Maybe not. Still don't get hangovers though.
I'm getting ready for moving. Technically, I get my new place tomorrow but the lease on our current apartment isn't up until the end of July. But I get all of July free at the new place so its not that big of a deal. I was kind of worried about money for a while and then I realized I'm only going to be paying $30 a month more than I've been paying for the past few months. Well, $45 if you include internet. There are so many little things I'm going to have to remember to buy. I have a gas stove, so I need matches just in case the lighter goes out. But its an old stove, so I also need a timer. I need silverware. Oh, I'm buying a TV because they're cheap at Walmart. I'm going for HD but I don't know much about electronics so I'll probably drag someone with who does so I can make an informed decision. I'm buying a 360 off one of my friends who refurbishes them. I'll still have to pick up a hard drive but, whatever. That's ok. The way I see it is that I never watch TV and I need a DVD player. The 360 will "pay for itself" in a couple months of not paying for cable I wouldn't be watching anyways.
I'm also thinking about getting another cat; I don't want Ginger to be lonely.
I can't really think of anything else right now, so that's what going on.
