(no subject)
so yeah asked her out and all, got a no :(. oh well, i don't hold it against her, i'm still great friends with her. she likes some other guy and if it works out for her i'm happy for her. i wish i could be with her and hold her in my arms, and i'd treat her like a goddess, anyone who knows me knows that, but oh well. she loved the flowers, and loved the poem i wrote for her, but all for nought. i'm not bitter :)
got the microwave. thing's a beast. huge. old. 'nuff said.
had our kegger on friday, it went well. moved the big tv and sound system from downstairs as well as all the games and movies and everything upstairs, just in case. like 30 people showed up and still we only drained half the keg. matt and his buddies finished it off last night.
had a huge potluck today. eugi, stacy, chris, michelle, adam, pav, matt, rich, and me all made stuff, well, ecept for rich and stacy. i made some dessert. well, maybe "made" is too strong, i bought a mcain's deep & delicious cake from the loblaws, and i bought sprinkles and smarties for on top. i let stacy decorate it for me, cuz she really wanted to lol. eugi made some sort of very very tasty pasta, chris made some different kind of pasta, pav made some rice and thai chicken thingie, matt made bruschetta and a pears with raspberry sauce thing for dessert, and adam and michelle brought some potato salad and macaroni salad and wine. it was all very tasty. very filling too. good times. sat around eating and talking.
i did something very stupid on friday. lemme set the scene:
i'm sitting in my operating systems lecture, quietly half-listening to Dan(the prof) talk about linux commands. i'm eating chocolate poptarts, drinking cholcolate milk, both of which are beside my laptop. i'm talking to a couple people on msn, and after clicking on a window in which i wish to type, i reach for the keyboard. my wrist connects with the chocolate milk carton, and tips it over. HALF THE FUCKING CARTON empties onto my laptop keyboard. for those of you who don't know, this is definitely a bad news bears situation. all the parts of a laptop (hard drive, ram, cdrom, etc.) are under the keyboard. so i froze for a moment, then hard powered my system off, then dumped the milk on the floor of the room we were in (carpeted :)) and the let it drain. i got most of the milk out there, but i removed the battery immediately, so there would be no power going through it. i told the prof at my next class what happened, and i went home. i took off all the panels off the bottom of my laptop and there was little bits of milk everywhere. cleaned them out, left the laptop off from friday at about 2 until saturday night at around 5 or 6, and put it back together and it works still. the keyboard is a little sticky, which i have to clean still, but other than that it appears its all good. if it's totally fucked, then i have only one word.......WARRANTY :) woot
