Fringe, I think I liked you better when it looked like Olivia was the Chosen One. Not that I have anything against Peter, he's funny and nice to look at, but he's simply not as interesting, narratively speaking, as Olivia who is the heart and soul of the show. Peter is simply too, too emo to be the Chosen One. He spends way too much time sulking now and not enough time being snarky and trying to love Walter in his broken way. Being snarky and taking caring of Walter were pretty much the only reasons I was interested in Peter as a character. Also, I ship no one in the show...they all seem to work better as Platonic friends out to save the universe with deep and complex bonds...but if I DID ship anyone with Olivia, it wouldn't be Peter...possibly Nina Sharp...who I find interesting and cool...and dangerous?
I feel very, very badly for Fauxlivia and it squicks me out that Walternate will be the grandfather of another human being. I know Walternate has very, very good reasons for being the way he is, and he seems to have some moral bearings, unlike Walter, BUT he lacks any sense of kindness, and I am made deeply uncomfortable by him. Perhaps this will change.
There needs to be more Astrid. You can never ever have too much Astrid
