Are we sure lightning only strikes twice?

This is an update for those who actually read this thing of mine. Sis and Yorr know everything, of course, but I figured I'd update anyone who bothers to read this.

Tuesday night, we had a hellacious thunderstorm. 50 plus mph winds, which is 80 plus km per hour, and hail and flash flooding (as in, our house was partially flooded). And I was out in it for about an hour total, grabbing things we couldn't afford to have blown away, catching our dumpster before it hit our neighbors' new white car  (5 feet from impact when I caught it), getting oxygen tanks and a few other things. Our power got knocked out about 11:15.  It got turned on the next day ay 3:30 or so.

I had a minor cold before this and I was starting to get better, recovering from all of the mess with the spider bites and that awful antibiotic the ER doctors wanted me to keep taking (while I was getting sicker and sicker)...

And the heat always, always makes my asthma worse. Which is why I have my own AC, just for my room, to keep it 9 degrees colder than the rest of the house.

And now I'm sick as a dog. Fever, chills, gunk in my lungs (which are aching) and my throat and my sinuses. Along with the bruses and strains I got while I was out there. Gotta love winds like that (and the things getting caught in them, including hail).

I'll live through this, but I'm taking stuff for the fever and drinking some tea that cleans out mucus and helps keep the congestion from going into full-blown infection. I already have a bunch of the two herbs in my cabinet, and the only other ingredient is water and sugar, which I also have a bunch of for now...so...don't worry, but I may be in bed or spacy or not around for a bit. Don't worry too much about it.
