I know i haven't been posting in this thing, just really stopped caring, but i do enjoy reading everyone elses post, and wish them well.
Just had something that was bothering me, and i sorta need to write it to get it out of my mind.
Had my hardest call to date as an EMT.
11 year old girl, raped by her 21 year old uncle.
Nothing harder to watch then a scared 11 year old holding on to my arm with her tiny hands and her tear soaked face, watching her uncle being put in the back of a police cruiser.
Wasn't quite sure what to say.
Just kept mumbling in my bass voice, hoping it might just sooth her just to hear a sound.
She fell asleep in my arms as we drove to the hospital in the ambulance.
I let her play with my badge as I talked to the nurses.
Then watched as they asked her the questions i didn't want to hear.
But i had to, its my job, i had to write it down.
She hugged my arm goodbye.
Her mother thanked me though i did nothing.
