wow.
how do you all continue to be so amazing? i simply adore my friends <3
my party was absolutely amazing, with the exception of the slight abuse of the carpet (in terms of food spilling), and the slight abuse of my BED (NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO GET SOME UNLESS I AM GETTING SOME ON MY BIRTHDAY!!!).
there were some other oddities, such as a ton of people either coming for half an hour or not showing up at all die to either/both the red sox parade and the dresden dolls (among other things that were less frequent excuses). You were all missed terribly. whatever happened to the beautiful and talented lizzie curran?
to VERY briefly recap:
people came
videogames were played, with LOUD METAL accompaniment (is that spelled right? is it supposed to be one word?)
movies were watched (bill and ted, the seven year itch, NINJA TURTLES coming out of their shells tour (abby, i had people CRYING, they were laughing so hard))
presents were opened... read on.
presents. i LOVE presents. and my friends did not in any way disappoint me ^_^ i don't think i got a single gift that i won't enjoy the hell out of. some highlights include peter's twenty dollars, in a box, in a box, in a box (he really had me going there!), annie's PLETHORA of gifts (a static-powered toy robot, and cocktail napkins featuring an alcoholic beverage with a monkey's head on a toothpick in it), lindzaa's SLINKY OMGZ, becca's t-shirt of whimsy and wonder ("well, we haven't gone to the beach YET... but i think this is what it would look like if we did."), and the many other gifts that made me realize how awesome my friends are.
and, of course, the two people who got me things off of my guideline list at amazon (not including jason... who doesn't count because he sent me mine early :P and anyone who may have got me something that is on it's way still)... both webbers, without consulting each other, got me INCREDIBLE gifts, which i will treasure forever.
ellen got me the silent drive cd, which is excellent driving music, and exactly what i wanted to get at a near point in time. the exact opposite of the cds she got for me last year (which she purchased because SHE liked them, which is an iffy reason to buy something :P), it was quite possibly the coolest thing ellen has ever given me that she has not taken away later. thank you so much ellen, i love the album.
bobert... is quite possibly the craziest goon i know. he, charlotte taylor, caitlin and grayson were invited to my party, and apparently none of them could decide what to get me. BOBERT apparently made an executive decision and said they would pool their money and buy me something crazy.
they bought me a GAMECUBE.

you guys are amazing. everyone else, they made you look like silly people, and you can beat them up if you are so inclined :P
but seriously. you ALL rule. that was the best party i've ever had, and i appreciated every gift, from the gamecube to the sock puppet :P if there were more people like my friends in the world... i would get a lot more presents. I MEAN THE WORLD WOULD BE MORE AWESOME KTHXCYA.
