HELP...I need Prom advice

I now have a kinda sorta date for the Prom this weekend. Several weeks ago I asked Sarah, she looked at me like I was insane and told me she would think about it. She then avoided me for days until I cornered her and she turned me down. No explanation given. She continued to avoid me until Friday night when she showed up at the club while I was ( Read more... )

I'm totally dumb when it comes to prom stuff -- but I can give you my opinion anyway :)

Last year, I went with a friend as "just friends" -- and we got each other the stuff, but it didn't mean that we wanted to be anything more... then again, a year later here we are as boyfriend and girlfriend... but that's not the point LOL. The point is, at the time, it didn't send any sort of "message" of wanting to be more than just friends. It's just polite to get it. I think it's sort of expected. I would say definitely get it.

(though if you're still unsure after my dumb advice LOL you can bring this question to advice4teens or just_ask -- those are the communities I bring my advice questions to :))

Good luck! And I'm so glad the Beatles were able to help you out there :)

Thanks. I decided to get her a wrist thing because I want to and not because I'm trying to send any hidden messages. I now know that her dress is a pale yellow so I'm thinking something to match.

Uh huh :) I would say just get her the corsage but don't try to make any "moves" (sorry to call it that, but yeah) (which obviously, you will not, because you don't want to make her feel weird).

Yay Prom! ^_^

I agree and don't worry I would never make any "moves". I'm all for the girl making the first move. It helps us clueless guys know how the girl feels and what she wants.
