prom
Prom is only 2 weeks away and I decided I should go. I don’t usually do many school dances and stuff but I’m thinking what the hell. So I need a date (Ash is totally OUT, long story for another post) and thought I would ask Sara. I have known Sara for a couple of years and we take a lot of classes together. I have also worked on projects with her and we get along well. I know she is not seeing anyone and doesn’t have a date. After class I asked her if she wanted to go with me. She just stared at me with this blank look for what seemed like forever. So I didn’t know what to do so I started rambling on about things like never mind, it was a bad idea, of course you don’t want to go with me blah blah blah….Finally I said goodbye and started to leave. She stopped me and said she had never thought about us and would think about it and let me know. What does this mean? Why couldn’t she just say no.
I’ve been thinking about this all night and can’t sleep…it’s like 4AM here. I know that Sara and I hang with different people. She is honor roll, teachers pet, student council, peer mentor and all around goody two shoes. Me, I take the same courses (college prep and not shop) but get mostly C’s with an occasional B. The biggest p4roblem might be that I have a rep by association with the band and people like Ash (most people think she is a slut). The other band members are mostly druggies. They drink, smoke, snort and shoot up. I don’t (I mean I will occasionally have a drink but have never been drunk. I’ve tried pot and didn’t like it and have never tried anything stronger) I’m not a bad person, I don’t even look like a member of the band with my hair cut short. I’m even going to UCLA to study music next year. I thought Sara knew me better. Anyone out there have any opinions?
