They had acted.
Apparently the Fates were not content to let her be. That had been proven without a doubt when they had attacked her in Vegas. The Fates weren't playing around this time. Which meant they knew that she was free from their control, and they weren't happy about it. She hadn't wanted to act against them until she was ready, but she feared she was slowly running out of time.
She had also had no luck locating Zhilbar, and that worried her more and more each day. Lucifer's disappearance also worried her, as well as Ollie's, but she knew Ollie was all right. Or at least she was pretty sure he was. She was sure that Luce was as well, but she still worried.
She'd have to tell them all soon. And she'd have to prepare everyone for what was to come. She just hoped that the pack would be ready.
And she hoped that her loved ones would be safe. She closed her eyes, acknowledging the hole in her heart that was the place that Dessa, Sidney, Jack, Rogue, Raven, and Terra had occupied. One had basically disappeared, moving away and growing up, the other was dealing with her own problems. And had her own life that she was doing well in. Raven was just gone, and she didn't think she was coming back; and Terra was busy with her own life, and she wished Terra all the luck in the world. Sidney and Dessa were the hardest pill to swallow. For it was by her own actions that they were driven away.
She had seen Sidney around, and had seen that she was all right, even happy. And then there was Dessa who did not know her at all anymore, and who she really didn't know either. It was better to be separated anyways. She didn't want them drug into the confrontation with the Fates. She didn't want them in her battles.
For in the darkest part of her soul, she knew that there was every possibility that she would not make it out alive from this one. This might be her end.
