Mastery is in my hands!!
I don't know what to type, so I'll rant a bit. I saw Niki today, which was nice. Shes so obsessed with swords, that when shes bored at work, she takes a plunger and starts swinging it like I taught her. lol. thats devotion I want to see.
Speaking of students, I need to talk about Joel and Sean. Joel needs to stop leaning when he strikes, and also, he puts his blade behind his back rather than over his head. Its like winding up a punch, it might add some momentum, but its at a cost of control. His way also is a dead givaway of where the sword it going, thus deception is a key. Sean on the other hand, is tugging a couple of cords.
We have been arguing the last couple of days, which isnt like us, but also, i relise hes being a little cocky when it comes to swordsmanship. Now, I know he went to class the other day, and he did great, but even though they suck, it sounds like its goign to his head. Sean, you have a lot of learning from sensei to do, and I want you to be great, not good like u are. And be careful, its sounding kinda cocky when you talk. I know class was a disapointment to you, but they are all kids. There are only a couple of them taht are close to our level, and I'm sorry they didn't show up that night. Learn from sensei, challenge him, like in war, go right up to him and single him out. The other thing is your group focus, which I know isnt easy, but you put urself in a bad situation and got cut down. No amount of skill could have saved you from that, but, knowledge will prevent you from being in those situations. All and all, my two student are looking great, although they could use some work.
And shelly is doing great. I want to do some drills with her, as I want to do some with the rest of my students, but everyone is doing fine. I need to fix joel a bit to challenge sean, since according to sean, sean is pwning joel. Shelly and Niki are two toughies. Shelly has to do some two handed work, as well as a lot of two weapon drills, but she'll get good with those fast. Niki needs to learn a lot since we dont know her weapon choice, so shes got my work cut out for me.
Oh, and my sickness is gone. My folks tend to think it was food poisoning or something. I think I got it from BK. XD
I finally have the Seven Samurai, one of the greatest movies of all time, and it's mine to watch. I started it, and will finish it later. Well, thats all for now.~Nick
