pre-AC jitters
This year feels odd - maybe it's just the fact I've been doing AC for so many years now, or maybe it's just that I've been so busy working and WoW'ing, that the build-up to the world's largest con has slipped me by. Either way, I don't feel the same excitement I used to for cons.
Partly I suspect it's the fact they're now so big.
Been staffing AC for 11 years, yet I'm lost in the crowd of new faces, and I still seem to feel like an outsider most of the time.
(That's probably more due to me being British ;o)
I think its more the fact that for the rest of the year, I'm in a different country - and despite my best efforts to fit in when staffing, I'll always be the outsider.
