Ten minutes in the hospital, and they see a nurse. She's young, maybe in her mid-twenties, with a neat bob haircut and a bright smile. The name tag on her uniform reads Karen. Bubbly, cheerful Karen, and she's here to help the two lost men.
Dave would be fine with this if he weren't coming off his high, if he hadn't seen some very suspicious looking restraints, if there weren't absurdly long needles everywhere he looked. For a split second he is fine, though, because she looks sane and rational and she reassures the two of them that she's here to help.
And then she tells them she'll take them to a room.
"Really," she says. "We just need to fix you two up, all right?"
