Sorry for the Delay

Things have been a little A.D.H.D. around here.  I've been finding myself wanting to do something, and then forgetting it completely because something else more interesting popped up.  For example, I don't remember what I left the house for, but I wound up at HomeDepot.  On Saturday, some friends had said they had a particular shade of brown in their house called "Paper Bag" and had many compliments and love the general feel of the colour.  Well, Sunday, I went to Lowes, and they didn't carry Glidden - which made the colour - and so, the other place was obviously HD.  Well, that whole train of thought had basically been on my mind, and asked for a pint - it was only $9, so what the hay.  I just finished painting 1 wall, and must say that it looks rather good and am quite pleased.  Nevertheless, it was not my intention to paint ANYTHING today.  Not to mention that 2 of the walls in that particular room are in need of partial replastering... oh and trust me, the thought entered my mind to go back and get the stuff.

I have a design project at the store that is put on temporary hold, it's nothing significant nor immediate, and that could wind up being a problem.  Nothing worse than a procrastinator with ADHD - The other reason why it's on hold, is that it's my money going into this.  And tho most of the things required, I will find use for down the road, I just hate buying stuff like saw horses or paint sprayers or belt sanders.  Not to mention the fact that the current car is just a wee to small to move 15' boards around town.  We're also kicking around the idea of putting new carpet down... it's been 20 years, it couldn't hurt.

As far as school goes, all classes are pretty interesting - I like Micro Economics and Organizational Communication the most.

I took the lil car to Sears to get some brake work done.  Front half, pads w/rotors - but when I left, there was a growl - I think they overtightened the rear bearings, but they say no - so, now I need to find an independent who can press bearings. blah $

Still facebooking wayyy too much - it's horrible - but I'm glad to see they have the membership of a small country, within 5 years!  Not to mention the CEO is only 24 - Funny that, actually - quite ironic that my first issue to Fortune magazine has this self made 24 y/o billionaire on the cover along with a 4 page article.

I'm buying a 3rd car next month - it's a 2001 Mazda Protege - 4dr, 5spd, pwr windows & locks, 200k - the body's in good shape, and the engine runs great with no leaks - but she's got some issues and will be stowed away in the garage, next to the jetta, till I can address them.  The best thing, and the reason I'm doing it, is that it's the right colour and the right year with the right option package - if it was an older generation, I probably would've passed on it.

I'll try and update a little bit more regularly - I think I've said that before, but I mean it this time.
