PS3 Get
Finally landed a PlayStation 3 as of Friday, despite a little adventure from 6-10 PM (and an emergency $100 loan from a friend since there weren't any 20 GB consoles in town). I only have Ridge Racer 7 right now, as well as all the online demos, but I'm still quite satisfied.
Out of the demos, F1 is what really wowed me. This is what a licensed racing game is supposed to be all about, even though it wasn't running in HD yet. I'll definitely have to pick it up on or soon after its release on the 27th.
Of course, the real reason for the hasty purchase is none other than Virtua Fighter 5. Once that game hits on the 20th, I may vanish off the earth for a couple months. I'll be picking that up alongside one or two of those nice $80 Japanese arcade sticks, so good times will undoubtedly be had.
I just wish Namco would hurry up and make it easy to get Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection off of the PlayStation Store. Other than that, PS3 is a very underappreciated system.
