last night i was playing on a .50/1 NL table, having come to the table with $65, my typical buy in for a $100 max buyin.
My fourth hand in, i got JJ on the button. One person before me who had $250ish on the table limped in for a $1, so the pot was $2.50. I raised to $4.
small blind and big blind fold. Limper then raises all-in.
for a second, i say, "huh." I made some quick deductions in my head and decided to call. Turns out he has K10s.
only one card of his suit came out, and otherwise he didn't hit. by the river he had seven outs - match his K or grab an inside straight. neither happened.
five minutes, doubled up. no complaints. :)
later on he made a similar move twice on two other people. He lost to one of them, his stack reducing to $115ish. The other time he pushed after the flop, making the other guy fold because he didn't want to risk his entire $115 stack.
he left the table soon after that.
