Furry Fiesta 2011 Wrapup

I had a great time at Furry Fiesta.

On Saturday I went to a "Meet the Guests of Honor" panel, which was just like an interview with Megan Giles and Lucky Coyote. That was fun.

I then wandered into a rather entertaining show about how to act when you're a professional performer wearing a fursuit. Yes, these are jobs for some people.

I did manage to buy a collar, a Furry Agenda T-Shirt, and a book of Something Happens comics.

Since the theme this year was "Disco InFURno" there was a class called "State of the Art 1970's Edition", where some people dressed in 1970's garb showed us working models of technology from the 1970 (records, 8-tracks, handheld videogames, Simon®). That was fun.

I then went to a class I was looking forward to called "How to get published", since I'm a writer I'm always looking for ways to get into the market. It was informative.

Then I got to have dinner with Megan Giles... well me and 30 other people, but I was sitting at her table. She's really nice, and has not yet reached the "nose in the air" elitist attitude.

Then I went to the Adult Art Panel. Which is basically a figure drawing and anatomy class, with 45 minutes of dick jokes.

Finally I headed to the Corral where I got to play a few games of "Werewolves of the Dark Arts". It's basically the same game as "Werewolves of Miller's Hollow" which was based on an earlier game called "Mafia". It's lots of fun... if the storyteller can weave a good story together. Our storyteller was a little overwhelmed, and there were several other things going on in the same room, so it wasn't an ideal situation for the game. Nonetheless it was fun, and I got lynched by the townspeople, or killed off on multiple occasions.

I was really hoping to find more people I knew there, but then again I've been spending more time going to renaissance faires, so I have a steady friendbase there.
