I just saw District 9.
Let me warn you that it is sad. It's very very very sad. However, I still recommend you watch this movie. This isn't like Transformers, or G.I. Joe, or any superhero movie. This is the bleakest of the bleak just trying to survive. There is hope, but it's a faint signal. The movie is loaded with physical acts of violence, however that physical violence pales in comparison of the overwhelming psychological violence.
This ain't a scene! It's an arms race! There is no "us vs. them". We all want what's best to carry on in life, and to make this a better place for our children. This is true no matter what species one happens to be. While we may point out our differences, our similarities are much greater in number.
We are one people, one blood, and one race.
