Sleek's iDivine EyeShadow Palette: Sunset . mini-haul

Its no secret that I am madly in love with Sleek's range of mineral based eyeshadow palettes. These little babies pack quite a punch, featuring 12 luscious shades coupled with that oh so affordable price tag of £5.99. Irrisistable. Patti introduced me to them and I've been hooked ever since. IMHO they are second to MAC only in their staying power, and even then they come pretty darn close.

While window shopping with Essie yesterday, I spotted a new palette on the shelves. I've not kept up to date with the collections so I don't know how "new" this is, but its new to me :) I first saw Circus, their limited edition summer offering. I was itching to get it but I knew that I'd never wear any of those shades as they were a bit too "out-there" for me. Then I saw Sunset. How could I resist? The colours were gorgeous (a couple of them are repeated from Storm or the original, but hey, who's cares, there's 12 shades in here!

The website provides this:

The Sunset i-Divine palette contains 12 highly-pigmented complementary shades representing the sun, sea and sand. With a blend of shimmering golds, reds and blues, this palette is perfect for that sun-kissed look.

The velvet-touch consistency gives full and shimmering coverage to the eye lid for maximum effect. Each shade can be applied alone for a dramatic effect or mixed to create a personalised look.

another one to add to my collection!

sigh... so pretty!

they may look scary, but the colours blend really well

the colour payoff is excellent!

I chose only a handful of the shades to swatch

I also picked up a lippie and mascara from Superdrug's new MUA Makeup Academy range of £1 makeup. Yes, that's right, everything for ONE POUND! I don't know if they're going to change the prices later, but I'm going to go back and grab some other stuff while I can!

The lipstick I've found is a creamy formula and comparable to my favourite range in MAC - the Lustre. It feels soft and glides on easily, while keeping the texture and tone of a lipstick. I have somehow never quite taken to lipglosses (hmm...wonder why) and I suffer from dry lips, so finding a lipstick won't crack my lips is always an on-going challenge.

The mascara is nothing special, does the job without fuss. It smells nice too :)

Sigh... hello makeup, its been awhile <3
