Aw, I did not mean to upset you, Gareth-dono!
I'm a staunch agnostic because of several bad experiences with religion. Now, don't get me wrong, I don't hate anyone as long as they leave me alone. Sure, bible-bashers are my pet hate but as long as they don't talk about religion I can be very civil. In fact, I think I've had remarkable patience with the antics of extremely religious people around me both at home and at Varsity. I don't tell anyone what to believe but apparently its okay to be told that I'm fucked up and evil because I refuse to go to Church and I don't think I deserve that sort of treatment from anyone, no matter how good their intention may be, especially since I'm not a hypocrite, unlike most people who go into the confessional boxy thing. (That was really eloquent.)
I assure you that you have a larger support network as a Christian here at Rhodes. I love it here, but its admittedly very WASP.
I can't go light a candle for my saint in my own Church. I was baptised Greek Orthodox and I would like to go sit and listen to my language and say a quiet prayer. Just a place where I can be alone with my beliefs and left to it. But there isn't a church here for me, so of course I'm going to spend my sunday in the dojo. I'm a theist more than anything but I really cannot understand and forgive the Church for what has been said to me.
So please, don't take me personally. Seriously, yes. When I debate, I never do it with spite or unfounded criticism. No one has answered my questions adequately and I find that having faith without institution works just fine.
I'm sorry if I upset you. I assure you it was not intentional and its just bad luck to find a Chibi who fights damned hard to be heard and understood.
If you ever want to have a rational debate, I'm always up for a challenge!
